I would have given this movie a 1 except for Diane Lane. She tried...the movie is just dumb. The character of Nix is obnoxious...Rourke should have shot him the day he met him.

Mickey Rourke plays Canadian Indian Armand, who is a hit-man. He loses both his brothers in the movies opening scene, where they're supposed to kill a patient in a hospital. Years later, Armand gets a little too trigger-happy and the mob boss wants him dead. Through a series of more or less likely events, Armand teams up with Joseph Gordon Levitts character, because he reminds him of his youngest brother. This only gets him into more trouble and soon they have to kill more people to cover their tracks, namely Wayne (Thomas Jane) and Carmen (Diane Lane), who are going through a rough marriage.Apparently the book works well. Despite good acting all around, the movie just isn't very interesting and doesn't work well. If you don't watch the movie you're not missing anything.

If I live to be a thousand I will never understand how some viewers arrive at their opinion. I truly think some people look to see what others have said about a film and if the majority are negative then they jump in with THEIR negative review. I fail to see how people see pictures like this and automatically decide it'a "a piece of crap" It is not! KILLSHOT is a very descent film. Good acting and strong performances by Micky Rourk and Diane Lane. Good suspense. Good story that I find very plausible. Elmore Leonard wrote the novel from wince the film comes. A descent picture with a fine performance by Micky Rourk, who is a dam fine actor! To all those naysayers who wrote disparaging reviews... What are you looking for? Perfection in everything that ever gets made? All of you must be very sad to discover there is very little perfection in anything.

Killshot started off to me like it was going to be a gritty action/thriller movie. Then it got into drama. Then into thriller. Then into action. It was all over the place, but only losing interest in a couple of parts. One of my favorite parts, sadly, were the opening credits. The music was great, they introduced each character nicely, and the animations were cool. The cast was great, and I was surprised to see Tom Jane in such a subtle role. Mickey Rourke was the center of attention for me, and him not being one of my favorite actors means that he did a great job in his role. It had a satisfactory ending and overall, it made me feel satisfied that I watched it. It's worth a rent or a see at a friend's house.
