Pros: 1) Ajith's Mass Presence 2) Neatly packaged screenplay with enough dose of Comedy, Action and Family Sentiments 3) Devi Sri Prasad's BGM elevates the mass scenes 4) Fight scenes - Has its moments without going over the topCons: 1) Ajith's get-up - In some scenes, especially in the 2nd half, he looks very old (almost similar age to Nassar who plays his gf's father). Atleast his mustache should have been dyed black. His costumes in the songs are also an eyesore. Whoever was Ajith's stylist need to be fired! 2) Tamanna - while she looks sweet and bubbly and has put on a good show, her chemistry with Ajith does not work. She looks too young compared to Ajith. 3) Video songs - While the songs themselves are passable and could grow on you on repeat listening, the video songs are UTTER CRAP. It further highlights the mismatch between Ajith and Tamanna.Overall, a pakka treat for Ajith's fans and family audiences!

Very Good Family Entertainer. Especially it's entertained me a lot. The Vinayagam Character is very tremendous & appreciable role did by Thala Ajith Kumar. His role delivers the total village mass, dedication of work, love, care & affection to his brothers are mind blowing. The Archaeological Researchist character did by Tamanah. Her acting shows the elegant glamor & her love telecast sense is really good. In her residence, Ajith's marvelous protection shows him as a mass hero. This signifies Ajith is our next Super Star. At least the climax Fight & pre-interval Train Fight is a very good experiment did by Ajith Kumar. Hence I conclude this summary, it's a very good mass & commercial family entertainer in this pongal 10-jan-2014.

A violent straight forward man resorts to peace for his new-found love only to find that there is more, to the girl's family, than meets the eye. Veeram is a rare combination that magnetizes both family and fan boys simultaneously. Ajith with the grey hair that matches his dhoti has made the most of his on-screen presence. What he lacks in dance, he makes up with his expressions which the director has explored well with several close-up shots.Tamanna has equal footing with Ajith. This time around she has bound her curves inside and has made an honest attempt to bring forth expressions on to that flawless face.Punch dialogues have been limited to the most possible extent. The only punch comes from the antagonist to which Ajith remarks, "With that big a moustache, I would have been very much disappointed if you had not made a punch dialogue".Santhanam stands apart in the crowded first-half with his wits only to disappear in the second half where Thambi Ramaiah takes the front seat.Despite their many years in the industry, Pradeep Rawat and Athul Kulkarni are still struggling to lip synch let alone act.Logic has been shown the door in a few sequences (Athul escaping an explosion in a "petrol bunk" while others char to death. No authorities investigating the so many dead bodies thanks to Ajith) but in the flow of matters they are passable.DSP, besides the BGM, has disappointed with almost everyone in my screening waiting for the song sequences to exit for the loo.Siva, after a remake in the form of "Siruthai", has come up with an original script which if remade in another languages is not a surprise. Like mentioned ahead, he has balanced the family quotients well with fan-boy's demands.Veeram- Worth your time and money.

Well! This is what I have been waiting for. The movie that has everything that you can expect. action, comedy, sentiment. Ajith has given his best as usual. what;s not usual here is the fact that the story is of rural backdrop. Wat more can you expect from Mr.Ajith Kumar? He is a man of words. In the recent times it has become a trend of what he does on screen. Right from the beginning he carries the charisma. wow! the action scenes are must to be spoken about.. I have forgot the name of the stunt director. He has done a cameo too. Santhanam is in full form. Ajith has come out with his back to back blockbuster times.. He is unstoppable.
