The Trashmaster Trailers

The "trashmaster" divides his time between collecting garbage and cleaning up other forms of trash fouling up New York City's streets: dealers, small-time criminals... When the dancers in his favourite strip club are mysteriously killed, the trashmaster finds himself hot on the trail of a particularly twisted serial killer.

At first I wasn't interested in watching it. Like others I wasn't keen on watching something like this. But after avoiding it for a while, I decided to give it a go.The first thing you notice is the creativity. You don't see people make feature films using video games. It's not an easy job although you might be able to control the objects better it's still a tricky thing to do. After 5 minutes you're hooked because the story gets interesting and the scenes are just fantastic. I am not saying you can compare it to real Hollywood action flicks which fall in the animation category. I am just saying considering the tools it was a job well done.I would recommend people to at least give it a sneak preview.Totse.info

Young writer and director Mathieu Weschler obviously has some potential judging from this production which I understand was his debut as director. On what was apparently a minimal budget and using a video game animation setting (I don't quite know how that works) he's made a thriller full of originality, colorful characters, action and expression. The idea of having a garbage collector as the local vigilante hero who somehow manages to upset the tortuous plans of murderous gangsters in New York is the first one I've heard of it's kind. An unsung Eastern European immigrant with a kind of NY accent, Niko Bellic is a crusader for justice, a ruthless failed cop in the guise of a bin man and a protector of vulnerable females working in strip clubs. Certainly he's someone we want to know more about. The protagonist's faith to women is admirably explored by Weschler who makes a point of showcasing Niko's determination to hunt down and destroy their perpetrator. We also realize the power that garbage collectors have over cities. The next time you think about upsetting a bin man, think again! Some of the animation would have benefited from having more facial expression and a touch of editing would have helped too, but otherwise, a most enjoyable and entertaining hour and a half is possible thanks to Weschler.
