These types of movies that play with time, time lapsing or type regression have to be carefully put together because it can lead the viewer to frustration when it taken back and forth in time. Regardless the origin of this movie, I think this movie was riddled with many pot holes which made it difficult to understand. The acting was not so bad, specially from the kids, however, the bad done make-up done to the mother to make it look older, was very cheap. I think overall, this movie does not deserve the rating it currently holds and a lesson learned is that when directos play with time lapsing in movies, they to be well-taken care of.

This was a really weird film. When I first heard of this film, the description would have you believe that this was a paranormal horror flick, that isn't the case int he least.I don't normally watch foreign films with subtitles, but I needed something new to watch and the reviews on IMDb gave me the impression it would be something I'd find enjoyable. I wasn't really impressed with the movie. This film is more like a thriller/Suspense film. It strings you along making you believe it is one kind of film and then it suddenly turns into some sort of weird scifi time travel film that makes no attempt at actually explaining itself. The actors were fine, the cinematography was acceptable. It was just a poorly written film. It was a lackluster film that tries to impress with a weird "twsit" and all it did was leave me unsatisfied.

At first, I would like to say something about the translation of the film as an interpreter. The most suitable title of the film-also better than the original one- was translated into Turkish as "Araftaki Ev" means the house stays in limbo. Except of it, it is the first Venezualian thriller as far as I read. In spite of having a very restricted budget, these guys did totally a very good job. Montage of the film is unbelievably amazing, yet the scenario has remained a mystery for most of the people. In fact, these kind of films draw my attention more. The more you think about it and the details, the more you discover the hidden parts. Congrats Hidalgo !

Terrible things happen in Dulce's house in 1981; such terrible things that she has been in prison ever since. In 2011, now an old woman, Dulce is the beneficiary of a boon from the Venezuelan government - she is allowed to leave the prison, but she must remain on house arrest (complete with armed guards outside 24/7), in the very house where those terrible events occurred. And now it seems that they are about to occur again, and again, and again....I don't want to say much at all about this film because its power comes from its unexpected twists and turns and things we, the audience, never saw coming. I don't like scary movies much because, well, I don't like being scared - and this one definitely scared me, there were at least half a dozen times when I jumped in my seat (and perhaps screamed a little)! But I ended up really loving this film, in part because of the way it unfolds and in part because of the very fine acting, by Ruddy Rodriguez as Dolce especially, but also including Gonzalo Cubero as her husband Juan Jose, Rosmel Bustamente as her son Leo and (the very handsome) Hector Mercado as the local priest. My only quibble has to do with the fact that all the rooms in the house are always kept locked, whether family members are in them or not; I didn't quite understand that. But if you're looking for a very classy "supernatural thriller," you wouldn't go wrong by choosing to search this one out; truly excellent!
