When teenage Molly Hartley moves to a new town, she's haunted by terrifying visions that may have to do with dark secrets from her past. Something evil lurks just beneath the lush surfaces of her private-school world, and it holds the rights to her very soul. i don't understand why this get's a lot of hate,, now i can if this was a review for the Messengers, which i felt was god awful. never really heard of Haley Bennet before,, she is very beautiful and did a fairly decent job of acting in this one. our story has a girl moving to a new town to totally forget her past,, her dad makes sure of that.. apparently when she turn's 18 she's in for a whole lot of trouble, she was almost killed by her mother when she was little. and she has been suffering hallucinations, and all sorts of things. after being in a nut farm for awhile, i guess i would to. so on the eve of her 18th birthday someone decides to pay her a visit. i wont' say who you will have to watch and find out,, all i can say is this isn't the greatest movie of all time and by that same token it's nowhere near the worst,, i will watch again, as i 've seen this twice since it came out,, not a bad movie to watch if you want some thrills and mystery.

Do not watch it if you are thinking to see something like The Exorcist or The Last Exorcism. Although the title involves the word 'haunting' nothing is really scary. on the other hand, the acting of all was pretty well and they looked believable but it's the script that let us down. For so many the opening sequence is rather creepy but so many had questions with that particular part. It has in fact nothing to do with the story of Molly herself and it doesn't explain anything but it do shows that the 'haunting' goes on and on. The word haunting does mean that it should have some creepy or even scary moments sadly it doesn't. It has a lot of jump scenes (even one CGI face) but to be honest it is really one for the teenagers. There's no blood or whatsoever in this flick, it's just one to show at a party with some youngsters, they surely will jump or get goosebumps but for the geeks it has nothing to offer. Just look were our main actress went to, The Hole 3D (2009) another teenager horror. Mickey Liddell did his first effort to direct a horror, on that part it was okay, he new his stuff as a producer of The Collector (2009). It's sad that so many good looking faces and acting facilities are destroyed by a weak script, really, it doesn't develop and goes to nowhere until the final part and still that didn't really worked out well.Gore 0/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 1/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5

I don't think this movie was good. I also don't think it deserves to be called the worst. The plot must have taken all of 3 minutes to write on a sticky note. It was really bad, it reeked of 90's high school movies. It was not that scary at all.It can be a little confusing at first, not because its hard to understand but because the series of events they explain were not explained very well at all.If it is Saturday afternoon and your sick and its raining out side and this is the only movie you have not seen. Watch it.This movie is better then many other "scary" movies I've seen.

Oh, wait, I forgot, it's The CW now! This thing is anything but scary, just more teenage angst, high school girl backstabbing, gossiping...and I couldn't even figure out what kind of monster Molly was supposed to be. And every time she attacks or kills someone in the movie, she feels regret...after she's been attacked by those people! Hello?!? Why should she have to say I'm sorry after being picked on and defending herself? Danny Marianino of North Side Kings still to the day hasn't apologized for kicking Glenn Danzig's ass, nor should he have to after Danzig attacked him first! So why does Molly? Seriously, with Chase Crawford and that blonde chick from Hellcats(I think that's her, not sure, but it looks like her), it was like the CW trying to be scary. Oh, wait! The CW actually DOES have a scary show--SUPERNATURAL! Sadly, this movie was more new 90210 and Gossip Girl than Supernatural. Nothing scary about this at all--except what a letdown it was.
