Possibly one of the worst movies I have ever watched. The dialogue is superficial, the characters are as thin as paper and it contains three absolutely useless sex scenes who have no part in the plot.Calling this a "remake" is a a straight-up lie. It's an insult to anyone who has worked in the original movie.Avoid it like the plague.

What a pleasant surprise... followed by absolute dismay. The film starts well indeed, photography is warm and inviting, and acting is accomplished. Some of the dialog is quirky, and you get a decidedly modern French (rather than old Portuguese) cinema feel. But then cracks start appearing in the canvas: certain character decisions seem to be outright obscure (why did Evaristo snap on Carlos after the party? How does Amália feel regarding, well, everyone else?) while others appear to no use at all (Oceana Balisio's character being the most obvious culprit). But the real clencher is the inordinate amount of scenes that seem to have been edited out for (I assume) brevity's sake, with complete disregard for cohesiveness or understandability. I won't elaborate so as to not give any spoilers but you will find them in the final third of the movie, a cardinal sin that leaves you with a bitter aftertaste when the credits roll. What a crying shame. 5/10

False, deeply stupid and even offensive review (xenophobic jokes!!???). The movie is almost exactly de opposite of Mr J.Ivo wrote. It's an unpretentious and light but honest movie . A remake of a movie that portrays the society and the current culture of Lisbon, with the differences of the 73 years between the two versions of the movie . Being Portuguese i understand and liked what i saw . As simple as that. The only thing to criticize is the character " Evaristo " . I think it is not well done . It is watched that clings to the character of the previous version represented by Antonio Silva and it does not work well . Doesn't work well, because Antonio Silva was incomparable and mimics it was a mistake. Perhaps another actor and another way of representing Evaristo . Maybe it was a role for Jose Pedro Gomes, an excellent, talented and intelligent actor with years of experience in the comedy.

This is one of the worst movies of 2015, it's a bad comedy, with unfunny jokes, NOT FUNNY AT ALL, i will never get back my 120 minutes of my life back, it's a nightmare all over, Portuguese movies still suck, i'm tired of the same old, bring back cool story's with lots of action, follow the example of other countries like : France or Germany.it's poorly written, bad acting, i'm a fan of the original, and that's a classic, not this one, do not waste your precious time on this movie and save your money for something else. I promise you that this movie is not worth it, this was a painfully unfunny and incredibly lazy movie, don't go see this, you have been warned !!!!
