Good Will hunting is a good film with an impeccable script by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Robin Williams is great as the tutor and won the best supporting actor for the role. Gus Van Sant has a great track record and he is very good here. If you like strong hard hitting films with a lesson than you cannot go wrong with Good Will Hunting.

After a second viewing of this film, I give it a solid 8. Open yourself and be vulnerable before you watch this film, and it will humble you.We all need a little guidance in our lives, and we might not know as much as we think we do about the lives of others. This is just one of the many lessons this movie shares.

I saw this movie 2 years ago so maybe I'm not in the right position to write about it. Truth is I remember a few things about what happened in this film. The story didn't work right for me. I felt like I was watching another film with Robin Williams who was playing the same role over and over again. For another time Williams was playing the good man of the story. Sure he did an excellent performance but its unfortunate that we didn't see this actor play a wide variety of roles before leaving this world for good. Mat Damon is an actor who I can't go along with him in almost any movie he ever played. Same goes with Ben Affleck. Their performances were ok for me but not Oscaw worthy. Same goes with the screenplay. Gus Van Sant did an alright work but nothing out of the ordinary at least for today. I don't know maybe this movie was a success because of it's time but nowadays it seems obsolete. Yes it has good dialogue and some awesome quotes and the ending is leaving you with a bittersweet taste in your mouth but I myself couldn't delve into the film's world. Now you can find a million of movies like this one. I know that it's a movie that inspired almost every other movie of this genre but still I can't consider it a masterpiece. A good movie but nothing out of the ordinary at least for me.

Even though Will's super intelligence seems very unrealistic, the movie doesn't fall through. However, the plot was a bit predictable in terms of the ending. Furthermore, the fact that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon wrote the movie themselves is amazing, and surely it allowed them to play their roles even better. All in all, the movie consists of an outstanding cast with interesting roles, a high entertainment value in the plot, and last but not least, an interesting period of time in an interesting part of the USA. Definitely a most see.
