I came into the movie with very low expectations. The 3.5 rating on IMDB and all other negative stigma revolving around this title left an impression at first. But, let me tell you, DO NOT listen to those people. I came into the movie, and within the first 5 SECONDS I was already gripped into this story that hasn't even begun yet. As I progressed through the movie, I only got more and more baffled by all of the negative reviews and comments people were leaving. EVERYTHING about this movie is perfect. Everything was done with the utmost care and all the characters are deftly woven into deep, relatable characters that you really care about and want to succeed. The music is fully orchestrated and truly epic, a soundtrack to truly fit the eminence of everything else in the movie. The CGI in the movie is done extremely well, with certain camera tricks and acting makes it look real. I must say all the computer engineers did a great job on their part, precise to the smallest polygon or pixel. The story is an absolute roller-coaster, one emotion to the next, each scene more breathtaking than the last. In short, everything about this movie was perfection in every aspect. In conclusion, do not trust the low IQ nonintellectual degenerates that call this movie "trash" or "only kids stuff", this is a movie, like many others, which is only for intellectuals and requires a very high IQ to truly understand the depth of what is playing on your television screen. Go see Sharkboy and Lavagirl now, that is, if you're intellect is high enough.

The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3D (2005): Dir: Robert Rodriguez / Cast: Taylor Lautner, Taylor Dooley, Cayden Boyd, George Lopez, David Arquette: Morbid piece of eye candy crap about a boy who imagines Shark Boy and Lava Girl and is the brunt of bullying at school. Shark Boy is raised by sharks and Lava Girl burns everything she touches but unfortunately not the script. They enlist their young creator in saving their dream world. Lame plot tries to be creative but ends upon a foolish note. Directed by Robert Rodriguez with a production about as fetching as dog vomit. Rodriguez pulled off the creative elements to great degree with Spy Kids but here he gains a production that is on the same level as something you might fish out of a cereal box. Embarrassing performances by Taylor Lautner and Taylor Dooley as Shark Boy and Lava Girl. Why anyone would combined a shark with scorching hot substances is beyond me unless he was simply having a hot and cold faze. Cayden Boyd plays their earthling creator who needs juvenile therapy after this. George Lopez does his best as the electrical villain with plug hounds but the role is simply cardboard. David Arquette can add this to a stream of shitty films that includes See Spot Run and Ready to Rumble. This is empty headed entertainment that should be torn by sharks or burned in lava. Score: 1 / 10

Spoiler Alert!!! OK the only reason I saw this film was because it was new and I was a stupid kid who was constantly bored. I had my parents rent this and my oh my was this film just bad. I'll start off by saying the affects for this film were just poorly unreal but at least captured your attention. The story really was a bit childish but at least it's got some good things about it. One of the things I couldn't stand about this film was George Lopez because he was pretty annoying as the teacher. He was also a rude jerk who I think personally should of got killed at the end. I mean he insulted the kids whenever he could and he didn't want our hero to even try to be friends with his daughter like seriously. I did like him as the villain though seeing as how he just had to be as much of a jerk as his 2nd character was. Overall this film is for little kids only, it's a fantasy film just like Spy Kids films. I give it a 4 out of 10 for it's creativity and some of the humor.
