Evil might never sleep, but there's a bloody good chance of the viewer nodding off while watching this dreadful psychological thriller starring a pre-fame Heather Graham and featuring a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance by Carrie-Anne Moss (who is given top billing on the UK DVD cover!).According to director James Merendino, "the movie is about passive aggressive misogyny destroying femininity in this country". In other words it's a pretentious pile of indie semi-art-house twaddle from a director with ideas way above his station. The dialogue is stilted, the performances awkward, and the narrative disjointed. Merendino commands dreadful performances from all involved and makes every scene as mundane as possible, directing in a style that can only be generously described as perplexing.

Honestly, this is a very funny movie if you are looking for bad acting (Heather Graham could never live this down... it has three titles for a reason- to protect the guilty!), beautifully bad dialog ("Do you like... ribs?"), and a plot only a mother could approve, this is your Friday night entertainment! My roommate rented this under the title "Terrified" because he liked Heather Graham, but terrified is what we felt after the final credits. Not because the movie is scary, but because somebody actually paid money to make this turd on a movie reel.Horrible movie. There are a few no-name actors that provide some unintentional comedy, but nothing worth viewing. Heather Graham's dramatic climax also was one of the most pathetic and disturbing things I have ever witnessed. I award this movie no point, and may God have mercy on its soul.

If you see this movie on a shelf, leave it there. Its quite simply awful Bad story, bad acting, bad filming. Just watched it for the first time (and the last) and it was a waste of 90mins. Watching it i presumed it was grahams early work the acting was so bad and was shocked to find out it wasn't. Why did she do it!!Leave the film, just run away and never look back, you aint missing anything.

The whole film seemed like a student film, which is hyesterically funny, but what really got me was the hysterical chill. Heather Graham's hysterical performance reminded me of Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby, that neurotic sensibility that really scares the audience. The poor quality of how the film was presented added to the mystery of how this film was concepted to be made, even more a mystery of why Graham got involved, which all the more adds to the creepiness and weird experience this film delivers that can further more make someone laugh hysterically. The story was in a sense, smart, but could be easily underrated. But most importantly, the film made me "feel" the feelings that the character was going through that served a point, not to mention loads of entertainment and true horror. it's definitely "about" something if you're considering to see it, i definitely think you should. Looking back on it, I really loved it. Purchase it, why not?
