I did not laugh or even chuckle, as I more and more grimly watched this production.I won't bore you with the details, other than to say the plot was predictable once the premise was established, and was never believable. A big surprise, based on the genius of The Office and Extras. Still, when you see what a dud Derek also was, it doesn't take a genius to realize that the missing ingredient is Stephen Merchant. Once he left the collaboration, Gervais's comedic success has nosedived.

There are spikes of comedic moments in this one and watching this I can only imagine how good the original movie must have been. Which I unfortunately haven't seen yet. The concept is pretty neat and it works overall. Bana and Gervais is a good fit, though it's not like you'll be rolling on the floor laughing.Apart from some highlights though, there is a lot of drought too. Which is a shame, because some ideas might sound funny on paper, but didn't translate onto the screen as well. It might be mildly amusing of course and if you don't have high expectations anyway, you will be more than entertained with this

Ricky Jervais wrote this for him to act in... This is plain to see. If you take that into account, and the fact that true comedy is serious and unintentional (something that Americans don't seem to understand; I am sorry, but slapstick is NOT comedy), then this film is a masterpiece...The interplay of Characters is extremely well crafted. The Characters have been formed properly and with the perfect intent of the conveyance of the story line. The editing and flow of the film is very good. The overall effect is astounding and I took immense pleasure in watching it...I will recommend this film to everyone. I predict that this film will become a cult classic...

Everything in news is fake and propaganda - so why risk your neck for it? I sincerely hope all journalists "sent out" on dangerous missions learn how to stay at home and fake it, risking nothing. It makes no difference anyhow. Nobody Believes what they are reporting, because everybody knows that if anything of it was true, then it would probably not be allowed and censored Before reaching out. This is the reason why I rather Watch films then I Watch the news if I want to know what's going on. When everybody says it's fiction, then maybe some of it is true, whereas when everybody says it's true it cannot possibly be so unless it's so obvious that it is impossible to deny, in which case you do not need the news telling you.In other Words: This is satire at its best.
