When you are young and the relationship goes flat... you might say you were not looking for anything to happen, but in reality odds are surely something will. I've read a couple of reviews saying that the film plays a bit long, I did not find that to be true. There are many scenes where the camera remains on both of the leads (btw.. doing great work), together and individually, for long periods of time, and it shows the anguish they are experiencing, in coming to grips with a drawn out dissolution of a long term relationship. It's truly one of the better productions in this regard. And not getting caught up with an overblown musical score was a brilliant choice.. silence, or low key, in many instances enhances the emotions being shown on screen. We've all loved and lost.. here it's portrayed in a simple, forthright way, and you feel their pain more sincere than you expected you would. It is a very good little film.
