Was expecting a funny horror maybe in the vein of a cheaper version of Shaun of the dead.It wasn't.It never really got going and the ''twist'' ending was pretty underwhelming.I like Kevin in other movies he's been in not quite leading man material or possibly just needs another vehicle to better suit his talents. The mayor from spin city plays the sheriff in this one and is quite funny as the love interest of the killers mum witch sets up some funny scenarios.was expecting much more from other reviews i read and am quite disappointed.Low budget is no excuse for bad writing.4/10.If you've got nothing else to watch....find something else.

I'm sorry but I've had enough of people who review films on here 6.2 for this film is a total injustice for what is a original script highlights important social issues and for me is a great mixture of comedy and spectacle.i don't even want to say anything about the film because if i do i would spoil it but all i can say is DO WATCH IT and get taken on a whimsical ride of love friendship and guilt with real blood splattering moments real belly laugh moments and an ending that will have you in tears not many films mix genres together good but this one does for me its a must see

Loved it! I have to admit from the title I was expecting some mindless comedy that was just "OK". It only took me 15min to realized that I was in for a rare treat. I thought this movie was beautiful, brilliant, dark, hilarious and touching. In my experience its rare to find a movie in the horror genre that could even come close to fitting in all of these categories.Ken Boyd, an artistic and depressed man is recently released from the mental hospital, lives with his sarcastic Mother, who loves him but picks at him any chance she gets. Its seems that Ken wants to live his life as cocooned as possible until his path crosses with the chatty outgoing Amy, who tries to push him out of his cocooned depression.Ariel Gade, who plays Amy was almost like a light cast on the darkness of the film. She was perfect for this part and one couldn't help smiling every time she came on screen. Then there is the sheriff, this guy was hilarious and play his character perfectly. Karen Black, Ken's Mother, played the perfect Mother, who loved her Son very much but has no expectations of her Son and makes it known she thinks he's a low life.Add all these colourful characters together and add some Slasher to it and you come out with one the most brilliant horror films I have ever come across.Definitely recommend this one to anyone and if you miss this one, you are missing out.Zombiesteak.com - Discover a whole new world of Horror Films

Some of the besthorror films to come along in some time are those that tackle the subject matter with a bit of dark humor. The latest film not only tries their hand at the dark slasher comedy, but uses a pretty straight forward title as well with Some Guy Who Kills People. With a cast featuring some cult stars including Karen Black (House of the 1000 Corpses), Barry Bostwick (Rocky Horror Picture Show), Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead) and led by Kevin Corrigan (Superbad) will this be another clever addition to this genre or be just another to get lost on the video shelf? Some Guy Who Kills People follows a lonely guy who just got out of the looney bin and seeks revenge on the guys that put him there. This quirky dark slasher comedy film works really well. The cast is just as strange as the story itself and somehow makes it work on every level. Corrigan does a great job carrying this movie and brings a simple innocence and pain to the character needed to make it work. The supporting cast all plays important if not strange roles in this characters life and does a successful job at driving the story forward. Besides the character aspect of this story, there is a slasher undertone that drives the bigger picture of this story. There are plenty of kills to appease the slasher fan, but managed to steer away from the overabundance of blood and gore.On the surface this film seems like just another generic rental, but thanks to the great performances, direction and story. While it seems pretty straight forward they somehow manage to throw some twists in there too that really made it that much more enjoyable. If you are a fan of the dark comedy or slasher horror genres then this film will be right up your alley.http://www.examiner.com/movie-in-dallas/bobby-blakey
