No one thought Donna would go very far. But when she sets her sights on becoming a first-class international flight attendant, Donna throws caution to the wind and takes off in pursuit of her dream. The ride is anything but smooth, however, and Donna's laugh-packed journey of a lifetime is rocked by more turbulence than she bargained for.

View from the Top is my favorite kind of movie. It's just the truth. As much as I love epic fantasy adventures like LOTR or Star Wars, and I do, I love an ultrahot lighthearted comedy like View from the Top way more (ultrahot being the key word). But there's a stipulation - it can't show too much nudity. It must be playful and teasing. If it shows too much skin it enters a realm of I'm not always in the right mood for it. I'm always in the mood to enjoy movies like View from the Top, or The Sweetest Thing, or The House Bunny, or We're the Millers, or Good Luck Chuck, or Be Cool, or Just Go With It, or Austin Powers 1, 2 & 3 (shout out to how funny Mike Myers is in this), or Sex Tape, or I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, or Booty Call, or the 2 Charlie's Angels' movies (which are like hot fluffy masterpieces with their infused adrenaline pumping action). I love those. American Pie is a good example of an ultrahot lighthearted comedy that shows too much skin (shout out to Shannon Elizabeth, OMG) where I'm not always in the right mood for it. Close, but Road Trip too (shout out to Amy Smart) because it just comes on a little too strong. Those aren't quite my favorite. Fast Times at Ridgemont High too but that's almost like a drama. I love the flirt. It's all about the sweet flirt. It's all about the very most beautiful women in bikinis and panties. Christina Applegate has a knack for starring in these movies with this and The Sweetest Thing. I love Christina. She's so, so cute. I love Kelly Preston too. Gwyneth Paltrow (shout out to C Berg). The girls look so good in View from the Top, OMGoodness. They are definitely all wearing really hot outfits and everything but the Gwyneth, Christina, Kelly threeway bikini scene (shout out to M Ruffalo) is what skyrockets View from the Top into ultrahotness and ultimate watchability. I think that covers it. I love Gwyneth I really do. She's so nice (super shout out to B Danner!). hahahaYou put the wrong em-PHA-sis on the wrong syl-LA-ble.

Ha, I really liked this movie. I can't particularly explain why except to say that it was fun, not completely clichéd and I guess I've always secretly wanted to be a flight attendant.I enjoyed the story here for what it was, following a girl with dreams of leaving the trailer park and becoming a first class Flight attendant. And I actually got a kick out of Gweneth Paltrow in her role as the gung-ho student destined for flight attendant greatness. She really gives it her all. Her 1970's inspired clothing, hair and changing uniforms were also super entertaining. A surprisingly decent cast attached to this; Mike Myers is hilarious as John the flight attendant trainer with dubious vision and hidden anger issues. Christina Applegate plays the backstabbing best friend with Kelly Preston, Rob Lowe as a pilot and Candice Bergen as Sally Weston the great mentor.Ultimately this turns into a bit of a romantic comedy towards the end with 'Donna' having to choose between her dream of the first class run from New York to Paris or love with Mark Ruffalo. That's a tough choice actually. 8/21/13,

Word on the Net is that Ms Paltrow does not consider this one to be her crowning glory. Well, if this was her biggest mistake, then a fine life she has lead cause this can't be that hard to live with. Might I be allowed to dwell on mentioning that Gwyneth looks scrumptious in a skimpy bikini that according to the script is about to fall down, but sadly doesn't. Nice legs, hot body, and, ooh the hair! I loved the hair! But not the overly sophisticated $40 haircut when she went International, but the long, loose hair of the romantic scenes. By the way, I'm sure Mark Ruffalo can only sigh when he remembers he once held Gwyneth Paltrow in his arms. :) There is some excellent casting done in this movie, but none more so than that lovely little girl at the beginning of the movie, Chelsey Cole. She instantly gave the film a warm feel, and she fit in wonderfully, and I would like to believe that's exactly what a beautiful creature like Ms Paltrow looked like when she was a kid. Both Mike Meyers and Candice Bergen were great as well, but the fun casting was Christina Applegate, yeah baby! The second half of this picture loses height like a DC-3 with a burning starboard engine. Somebody up there in the wild blue yonder should have realized that us little folk down here would enjoy the 'big hair, short skirts, big smiles, flying gamblers and drunks' bit a whole lot more, and the movie could rather have been about a seat-of- their- pants airline much like that forgotten old TV series FLY BY NIGHT. Rob Lowe would have been an excellent choice for that. Instead, as she realizes her ultimate dream, the whole look becomes boring, yawn- worthy. But all is not lost. She realizes her mistake, and the fox is soon totally hot again. That cockpit wink at the end of the movie has got to go down in cinematic history.Great music too, by wonderful vibrant sexy-voiced talent including LeAnn Rimes, that really gives sparkle to the movie. That one, two, three bit during the plane lift-off scene was 100% perfect. So, Gwyneth is ashamed of having appeared in this one? Why, my dear, this was such a great showcase for your beauty and charm. Don't worry, we know you are a serious actress, and this is just something much less creepy to remember you by than that one where your head ended up in a hat-box!

On a very slow night, I watched this flick and was generally surprised at the physical comedy Gwen was willing to put herself through. I really enjoyed this film. For it's ridiculous nature. It's fable quality, and real nice (yet mostly overused) concept of home is where love is. And it reminded me that the journey with someone is better than the journey alone. Everyone needs a co-pilot and it's a sweet message (albeit sometimes outdated). I feel. a movie like this is genuine, and returns back to a time where we may not have been so cynical. If that's their angle, I would say...it's not a bad thing to be sweet.
