SAN ANDREAS QUAKE is, unsurprisingly, The Asylum's cheap rip-off version of SAN ANDREAS, with a renegade scientist desperately trying to save her family and convince the authorities when Los Angeles is subjected to a series of colossal earthquakes. It's the usual mess of predictable plotting and some terrible CGI effects as vehicles are caught on collapsing roads and bridges and the like. The acting is as pitiful as the rest of the film and this is very much one of those productions that appears to have been made in a great hurry without any attempt at realism or originality.

So, a scientist finds a way to predict earthquakes rather accurately, but no one will believe her. Check. Family is spread all over. Check. They MUST reunite. Check. In an impossible place. Check. They do all sorts of impossible things and are sometimes EXTREMELY lucky. Check. I knew 10 minutes into the movie who will survive, regardless of what happens. Check. But I once got passed that, it's quite an entertaining movie. It's definitely not 'the worst' one ever. I've seen worse movies. The characters are sympathetic enough for me to want them to survive. Sometimes characters are so annoying that I just want them to be crushed or die a slow horrible death, so I consider my liking them a plus. The special effects were... entertaining... let's leave it that. Yes, that hippo-moment had me laughing out loud, but comic relief is good. I've seen better movies, true, but I've also seen worse.

Yes, justice is served. That's what happens when you have a friend who has all the movies in his pc cause he has a 3 tera drive. So I spend a night in his apartment and he told me: "if you are bored just look for a movie in my pc". You guessed it, I chose San Andreas, Quake. So.. what is the punishment for a guy who watches downloaded movies? You guessed it again! Make him watch San Andreas Quake! I'm guilty, your honor but please for the rest of my filthy years please don't ever let me watch something as mediocre again. I promise I will stay away from torrents forever. Yes, your honor, I will be happy to be in community service forever if you bring these people to trial. It ain't possible to find worse actors, worse special effects, worse dialog, worst scenes and worse editing elsewhere. Their names should be vanished from history and every single evidence that this movie was ever shot should be incinerated and the ashes sent to... starting with my review. Addendum: At last there's a movie replacig Ed Wood's Plan 9 from outer space, voted worse movie of all times.
