Knowing the lack of high value motion pictures being produced in Latvia, this particular movie is certainly one of the top dog movies(if not THE top dog movie) getting rolled out. Other than good acting and intriguing characters, the story fleshes out even more with the truly amazing camera work and editing. Even though the story is "common" for any urban Latvians, even an outsider of this grim subculture can relate. It's hard to see any major flaws, though perhaps some of the actors working as background/minor characters should have had more effort put in, as the gap between lead and supporting roles was quite visible. Overall, this movie shows what Latvian film makers are capable of, and I can only urge you to see this piece before the director rolls out a sequel, direct or indirect.
