New York Minute Trailers

Top student Jane Ryan heads to Manhattan for a college-scholarship competition. Her rebellious twin Roxy Ryan goes along to crash a video shoot. But anything can happen - and does - in a romp involving a pursuing truant officer, a smuggler, hunkalicious guys and the girls' realization that when the chips are down, a sister can be the best friend of all.

I think the best gag of the movie is Trey's line "Is it my birthday?" when he sees Jane and Roxy in just towels, having just come out of the shower. New York Minute isn't perfect, none of the Mary Kate and Ashley movies are, but 3.9 is way too low. I thought it was fun and entertaining, though very predictable. The subplot about the micro chip inside the dog was a little clumsy, but that's me being picky. I must say the music choices are great, with "War" being played very loudly, and then the talented Eugene Levy singing badly (intentionally) "Bad girl what are you going to do when I come for you?" in reference to Roxy. People say it is just an excuse for Mary Kate and Ashley to show off their fashion tips, but it is much more than that. It set out to entertain, and I personally think it mostly succeeded, putting aside the predictable plot and superficial scripting. 7/10 Bethany Cox.

Although it's not a milestone in movie history, "New York Minute" is still a fun and lighthearted film. I liked the Olsen Twins when I was younger and I'm impressed what they have achieved in a young age (and they're younger than me, though) and that they still remained popular as teens. You can easy tell that this movie is most made for the twins fans. This picture is more childish than other teen movies, like "Freaky Friday", "Mean Girls". I didn't enjoyed the annoying and childish score and some of the characters were annoying and stupid. But the songs totally rocked! The twins they're self's are acting okay job in this movie, even it's not their most profound roles of all time. Mary-Kate's character Roxanne was more charming and vivid than Ashley's character Jane. No offense, but doesn't the twins have faces like porcelain dolls?HERE COMES SOMETHIN THAT COULD BE CONSIDERED AS A SPOILER: The story is quite predictable and you've seen stories like this before. Why does every teen movie has to have a improbable romance?SPOILERS OVERDespite that, this is a fun movie. For the fans this will be a perfect picture. For those who are not fans will also enjoy the movie, even they will not exult every minute.

Ignore all those comments where they totally talk bad about the olsens because they're all lies! Sure, this movie isn't something that would earn a huge award but it's still a wonderful movie for "tweens" and young girls. I, myself am a tween and i absolutely loved it! It's got semi-action, some humour and heartfelt moments! OK so here's a short summary about the movie: Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen playing Jane and Roxanne Ryan. One very sophisticated and smart while the other is the rock type. (the complete opposite of Jane). They end up in a huge chase with Lomax(Eugune Levy) and this psycho dude who thinks he's Chinese.(which he's NOT!)If you're an Olsen fan, you'll love it! so go for it!

OK I have a secret pleasure: I like Olsen twins movies. Shhhhhh! ;-) It all started when I was on a bus to NYC, they ran Mary Kate & Ashley's School Dance on the TVs. At first I groaned but then to my surprise I found myself getting caught up in it! While I thought that was a fun movie, New York Minute took it to a new level where a 27YO like myself can enjoy it on a more adult level. I think the plot was witty, original and refreshing. And the girls can really rock too! The concert scene was a lotta fun (trying to find MP3 files). People these movies are all about the fun so don't judge! It's nice to see that as the twins get older their movies adopt more of a "tween" edge. I encourage other post-tweenies ;-) to give MK & A a chance. For my money they are better than Lindsay Lohan...and that's coming from a Lindsay Lohan fan!!!
