One day, I was lucky to find derrick comedy when scrolling through youtube on a boring Sunday afternoon, as I recall. This troupe led the way for many others, since it was the first youtube "channel" with scripted comedy videos. Some of there videos, such as "Bro Rape" and "Jazz Man" are literally hysterical and will have you rolling on the floor spurting with laughter. I don't know why this movie was so underrated, maybe it was due to there limited release in theaters and how it was billed as an "independent" comedy. Nonetheless, the movie is truly hysterical, due to how the dialogue remains sharp and witty through the one and a half hour venture. Also, how oblivious the three main characters toward everything and how situations get progressively worse for them, makes the movie a worthwhile and fun time. If you are at least 14/15 or older or derrick comedy fans, you really don't want to miss out on this great and funny film. If you enjoy the film, which you did :), I will recommend Donald Glover's stand-up show "Weirdo" because his stand up performance had a similar feel to this film. I hope to see more from donald glover and have high expectations for the "Atlanta" series, premiering on FX. You'll have a great time with this very funny film for the great parody and excellent comedic dialogue.

This is a frustrating movie. That's because the idea for "Mystery Team" is great--three junior crime fighters (much like Encyclopedia Brown or the Hardy Boys) are getting a bit too old for such childish adventures. But, the film often delves into VERY adult territory--material that is bound to unnecessarily alienate and offend many.The film begins with three VERY nerdy friends talking about, what else, solving crimes. However, there really are no mysteries about--and they mostly just harass a poor neighbor on life support. At school, the three are either ignored or beaten up, as they don't even come close to fitting in with other high school seniors. However, eventually one of their totally unimportant mysteries actually leads to a very serious and deadly crime...MURDER! Along the way, they visit strip joints, go to wild parties and nearly get themselves killed--which is very tough for three guys who make Steve Urkel and Screech look like a sophisticated men of the world! The film has many funny moments and I loved the idea of 18 year-olds who act like precious 10 year-olds from 1960. The fish out of water aspect is very enjoyable. But, again and again, the film chooses jokes about erections, nudity, bestiality and other stuff that becomes tiresome. It's a shame, as a more literate script would have made a TERRIFIC film. As is, it's a guilty pleasure you should watch well after you put your kids to bed!! a bit crude sort of like Encyclopedia Brown

This film was pretty funny. You have to like these guys sense of humor though. I use to watch all their stuff online and I thought it was pretty funny. I saw a trailer for the movie here and had to watch it. Donald Glover is pretty funny and has one of the funniest screams in cinema. Dominic Dierkes had a funny character, but as for himself, he was just OK. D.C. Pierson has a great character and he was pretty watch to just listen to. There is a fun little cast for this film and faces you would have seen from different shows on TV. The great thing about this movie is it is about mystery, so the story line was actually not that bad and even had a twist ending like most mysteries do. So we have a good story and tons of laughs. That makes a pretty decent comedy. The only real problem they had was that sometimes the film got kind of cheesy and it would ruin the film. Or some scenes would stretch just a hair too much and almost ruin the laugh. So overall, you will get some laughs out of this film and you can tell that the cast not only got into their characters, but they just plain out had fun with it.

Totally waste of time to watch this movie, the only reason I registered at IMDb was to made this post. I would kill the director of this movie with my bare hands if I could reach him. Who is the audience of this movie ? even a 15 year old kid will get bored by watching this, although from the language and sexual scenes in the movie its aiming for adults I hope, the story of the movie cant hold a 10 YEARS old kid to watch it,there is NO single point in this movie that is going to tell something to anyone, from the beginning and till the end of this movie I couldn't even SMILE. I'm not judjing anyone's opinion about this movie, but to be honest, expect more from movies, so they hopefully will improve their further works. But seriously the cast of this movie should be ASHAMED and Embarrassed for what they created, the only thing I would like to tell them is " I hope you all freaking die somehow for this piece of crap."
