This is a family movie/war/love story that is quirky and as fun as they come. Kids over 10 will have a good time watching as well as adults (I think younger kids might get upset at one part or another in the movie and adult explaining would have to be brought out so I added an age limit). There are some drinking scenes so any squeamish about having their kids see that should skip this movie. Woopie Goldberg dishes out Morals as the Grand Banshee in this movie and some violent, semi-death, dark Leprechaun/Fairy war scenes to be had but the ending makes everything all bright and shiny again. Emma Townshend (Pete Townshend's Daughter) has a great song called Fly Away Over it All that plays at the end that my former girlfriend, daughter and I enjoyed and I had to get for us for out collection(amazingly enough it is NOT on the Movie Soundtrack).

Considering this should really be filmed in Ireland, it was a shame to see my local home of Cornwall used for just about every scene!! How they got the surfers out of the water at Watergate Bay, Nr Newquay i will never know!! Shame about some of the special effects this could have been done so much better. Nice story though. Unfortunately, Randy Quaid cannot get away from his character in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. All I could think about was his RV and dumping the toilet waste down the drains!! Think they needed someone unknown to take the lead role. Very disappointed to see Whoopi Goldberg as the Banshee -stick to wearing a nuns habit please!!!

This movie is the best movie in the universe. Daniel Betts (plays Mickey Muldoon) is so hot in this movie, I love the way they made Romeo & Juliet into a fantasy, and that song! omg I love the song it's my favorite. If you haven't seen this movie, or if you don't like it...you suck! Sean Devine is awesome as Mercutio, Mickey rules as Romeo, and Jessica as Juliet is perfect. Shamus is hilarious, Mary is wicked cool, Jack is just wow, etc etc etc! I can't get enough of this movie. I can't wait to order the DVD. I know I can get it at www.deepdiscountdvd.com for only nine some-odd dollars, so I'm going there next. Hope it comes this time, I ordered it before but they messed something up and it never came.

I got this movie for Christmas because I have been wanting it for a while. I saw it on tv I must say, this adventure truly is the type of fantasy I like to see on t.v. I am a strong believer of fairies and this movie really captures the inspiration of them. Although the Grand Banshee really had no characteristics of the true legendary Banshee, the rest had more truth in the movie to reality. I have done a lot of research and I did, in fact, find that some parts of the movie did not match the criteria of fairies. I will, however, say that most of the movie did live up to the expectations of fairieland according to humans. I could tell that the makers of the film really knew how to portray fairieland, due to research, for sure. Although, I'm sure only people like me would know what I am talking about. To sum it all up, this fairie adventure with a Shakesphere twist can really capture the hearts of believers or non-believers everywhere. I give it a 10 all the way!
