Illegal drilling releases a prehistoric shark into a lake. Three girls make it to an island in that lake, realising they can't get back into the water and they're stuck on that island. A couple of criminals led by an evil lady in black are also on that island, facing the same problem. While the people on the island are fighting each other rather than working together against the common threat, the shark gets hungry...The story isn't all bad, and some camera work with the underwater shots, or hovering just above the water surface, shows some basic skills. The four main problems of this amateur movie are: 1) sound. Repetitive dramatic music tries to hide that many noises of the action and the surrounding nature are simply missing. 2) acting. The guys and girls are sympathetic, but inexperienced. 3) location. This "island" is obviously the coast of a rather small lake, it destroys the credibility of the story. 4) sloppy continuity. People fall into the water, swim to the island and arrive with clean, dry clothes. I mean, it is pointless to accuse a low budget production of cheap effects, because they can't afford the million dollar computer tricks and that's life. But if you don't bother to pour some water and mud over the actors to make it look more real, which doesn't cost you a penny, then you just don't care about the movie you are making, and this is annoying.

To all the people being very negative about this movie, don't take life too seriously. You could have known it was a low budget no good movie before you started watching.Me and some friends watched this movie late at night just, just for fun. The movie was very entertaining because there are so many funny mistakes in it that it makes you feel like a professional movie critic for noticing at least one mistake per minute. Some things that made us laugh:a pistol that floats in water - coming out of the water and being dry - a shark obviously closing in on a victim, but the friends not warning him - people not having relevant emotions after someone gets eaten by the shark - a bodybuilder/actor with one dimensional expressions - bikini girls playing in the water like no adult ever would - a walk in the forest... well, just looking at people walk in the forest for some minutes - start and end credits lasting like one third of the length of the movie - beer commercials - scientist wears a beer t-shirt under his lab coat - bikini girl lights dynamite, camera shows only her bikini - yay- - exploding dynamite does not make an exploding sound -This movie however gives hope to people in these difficult times:everybody can be an actor - everybody can be a director - sharks can fly, free hugs for everyone - even if a movie is not good, its still very entertaining - you don't have to smoke weed to roll over the floor laughing -To the director, cast and crew: thanks, you made our day and we hope to drink some of that delicious beer you advertised with you one time!

This movie begins with two young ladies named "Tiffany" (Sarah Mosher) and "Brittany" (Kala Gray) who are sunbathing on an island that they thought had been abandoned by an oil company. What they don't know is that this company has just found a new pocket of oil and in order to get to it they need to drill through an underwater ice cavern first. Although successful in that endeavor they unknowingly release a giant prehistoric shark called a megalodon into the nearby lake. So when the two sunbathers decide to frolic in the water they end up providing the shark with his first meal in over a million years. Not long afterward five burglars set out for the island in a boat carrying a valuable painting they just stole from a museum. Only three of them make it to the island. A little while later four college students also head to the island in their boat. The shark attacks it as well and only three manage to get there alive. However, when the three college students encounter the other group they soon realize that the shark isn't the only deadly thing they need to fear. Now, rather than reveal any more of the movie I will just say that this was clearly a low-budget production which lacked the refinements one might expect from a major film company. The acting, script and special effects were all pretty basic. But I liked the overall story and having several attractive women like Emanuelle Carriere (as "Jill"), Celine Filion ("Kristen") along with the aforementioned Sarah Mosher and Kala Gray certainly didn't hurt the scenery in any way. Even so, these few positive attributes were hardly enough to elevate this film into average territory and I feel obligated to rate this movie as honestly as possible. Below average.

Finally, a movie that really made me laugh, loudly and a lot. I even give it a 5 rating and nearly a 6. Wow! My gut still aches..... See it with an open mind. It could become a cult movie. So stupid that it is funny. One line heard from the audience, several times is "You better swim for it"!!!! I think most of the filming took place in beautiful Gatineau Park. Some of the sharks are really scary. The girls are really good looking. One is a good actress. None of the guys can act. Finally, a movie that really made me laugh, loudly and a lot.
