After getting killed in a freak accident, the sheriff of a small- town community finds the series of strange deaths to be the work of a reanimated serial killer able to transform into the shape of a killer snowman and sets out to stop his rampage before it includes his family. This here was quite the fun and enjoyable cheesy slasher effort. One of the better features here is the fact that this one really plays well with those cheesy antics which are spread throughout here, giving this a lot to like. The opening accident starts this off with that kind of silly nature as the idea that this one goes for in setting up the killers' motivation to return which as an idea is just so goofy that the film manages to hold onto its intense tone quite well here even after asking us to buy this moment. Likewise, there's a lot to like here with the cheesy nature of dealing with the different citizens of the town and getting to utilize the cheesiness of the fact along the way. Though obviously cheesy, these stalking scenes are quite a bit of fun here where there's the first big sequence that the family's house where he gets both parents in great individual scenes which not only feature the suspenseful stalking, the really creative deaths and plenty of cheesy attitudes here while also putting on some great fun here wit the start of the ultra-cheesy one-liners he spits out. This culmination of antics is carried out throughout here in other great stalking scenes against the town, from the roadside encounter of him clearing out the leftover members in the sheriff's house including a nice exploitation element found in the attack on the daughter as well as the fine battle at the end where they confront him in the police station and leads through the church next door in the basement where the try several incredibly chilling stalking scenes trying to get him into their trap which is a solid action scene along with the rather cheesy antics along throughout. This full-on cheese, along with the rather unique kills including the method for defeating the killer is what makes this one so much fun. Along with the fine effects work for the main snowman featured throughout here, this one here really didn't have that many flaws. All of the flaws from this one come from its cheesiness and the fact that it could be taken as something that can turn off some out there. It's got an incredibly high level of cheese, with all the mentioned features turning up in really high amounts and giving this one a total that will turn off some. There's also the possibility that there are cheese-lovers who might find this one too much due to how high it is, and that's something that can make a viewing like this incredibly unpleasant to get through or even finish, and it's really the only thing wrong as the problems all stem from it.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, Brief Nudity and a Rape scene.

I really enjoyed this one. There were so many cheesy lines that I could see a group of friends getting together every winter to watch this one, and shout the lines at the TV, just like with Rocky Horror Picture Show. I also thought the beginning with the grandpa telling the kid a story very amusing. If I had kids, this is probably something I would do.There were bits with gore, but that too was amusing, and you could tell way before hand how someone was going to get killed. I'm not one of those horror loving people who can tell you all the various actors/directors and what they've done, but I did recognize Shannon Elizabeth from Saved by the Bell. She played a horny teenager, and it made me wonder if she made this one before or after American Pie. (Checked and this one was before.)Small spoiler….The one thing I couldn't get over at the end, but in a good way, was that the son made his dad some oats and put antifreeze in it to "Keep him warm". When the dad found out he just laughed. All I could think was, Your kid is trying to kill you, and you just laugh it off??? But it amused me, and this will probably be the only thing I remember if you ask me about this movie ten years from now.

I remember be a kid like 5-years-old and seeing the front cover of this at a video store and being scared to death. The cover of this is pretty scary and makes the movie look like an full, all- out horror movie. But out can a movie about a killer snowman really be that bad? Truth is, the front cover is misleading: the snowman looks like just a regular snowman that was made with a subpar budget. It is evident that this is low-budget, but there are so many funny and cheesy moments.Jack Frost is a serial killer who is being taken to the death penalty and crashes into a car with a new experimental liquid that makes him become of snowman. That cliché has been done so many times, so who cares? After he becomes the snowman, he opens up giant cans of whop-ass on everyone he comes in contact with. They are all corny and creative and he comes up with hilarious puns along the way. Like there one part where he kills a guy with an ax and says "I only 'axed' you for a smoke." There's another scene where he kills Shannon Elizabeth (in her debut) in a way where you can see how the robotics are being done. No big deal. This movie is awesome and hilarious! Ignore the Michael Keaton movie called Jack Frost.

I remember watching this movie when I was around six and it scared the crap out of me, now looking back as an older person I wonder why I was afraid of this film. Well basically what this so called horror movie is about is a Serial killer escapes death when his execution van crosses paths with a truck containing voitile chemicals and becomes a nasty mutant snowman. He then rampages through a small town, murdering innocent people until he gets the cop responsible for putting him behind bars. The acting is terrible, the storyline is cheesy, and the things they fight him off with are stupid. I wasn't familiar with the cast except for Shannon Elisabeth, and I found out this was her film debut, but couldn't she have been in a much better movie? Not only that she gets raped by the snowman that had to be the most disturbing scene I've ever seen in a movie.Do I recommend this movie? well if you enjoy bad acting, cheesy stoylines, horrible special effects then by all means watch it.
