Inspector Gadget returns in this sequel to the 1999 hit, "Inspector Gadget." Gadget once again has to fight his arch nemesis, Claw. Inspector Gadget 2 is way better than the first but it's also very true to the source material since Gadget acts like he should which is silly, Dr. Claw never shows his face as he should and French Stewart is way better than Broderick. The romance between She Gadget and Gadget was also pretty cute and i loved most of the special effects and how silly it was as a whole. Definitely a big improvement than the first one from 1999. (A+)

They replaced Broderick with French Stewart, who did a rather poor job. They got rid of Joely Fisher's Brenda Bradford and replaced her with a poor rendition of Star Trek's character Data. Dr. Claw is back, but not portrayed by Rupert Everett. Instead, we're given a villain who is attempting to go for the gold and plans on ruling the world with it all. Not original. ANY VILLAIN WILL GO FOR RICHES AND BE INTENT ON THREATENING THE WORLD WITH SUPPOSED SUPERIORITY! The only actor that was brought back was D.L. Hughley, who voices the Gadgetmobile. However, modifications were made and did not make that particular character as entertaining or interesting as in the first film. Michelle Tratchenberg is replaced by a kid who wishes to tag along as a overenthusiastic sidekick. The animation, special effects, direction, photography, and story were all unoriginal and pathetic. If I'm being harsh, it's only because I liked the first better. If they make a third film with the same kind of stuff, I don't recommend it for anyone who's looking for a good time, the same with this film.0/10
... View Morethey showed this film the last weekend, and i agree with Loubear, two of Aussie's great actors featured within there and best of all, filmed in Brisbane! (just north of where i live) i was like, hang on, that looks like the Brisbane River, and the Storey Bridge, and Town Hall!" the scenery was all too familiar considering the university i go to is nearby - Well in Brissie!!!!On the context of IG2, i guess it was okay, i watched it because there was nothing else on, and it was quite entertaining too, I found the fact that Sigrid Thorton and Mark Mitchell putting on American accents quite weird, but then again, i grew up watching Mark Mitchell pretending to be a Greek fruit shop owner and his wife, there's a first time for everything i guess
... View MoreI couldn't wait til this movie would finally be released and when I got it for my birthday I couldn't wait to go home and watch it, but after seeing i felt like i wasted my aunt's money. Elaine Hendrix is probably the best actor in this entire movie. She does an awesome job as G2. Caitlyn Wachs does an okay job filling in as the role of Penny. However French Stewart does an awful job as Inspector Gadget. There are parts of the movie that are funny and good. Brain is one of the cutest beagles you will ever see and Inspector Gadget's car is so funny. And the bar scene made me laugh a little. However this isn't the movie I would recommend but what the heck give it a chance, you may like it. All I know is that i didn't.
