House Guest Trailers

A vicious murderer is on the loose and the entire city is on edge. It's the perfect evening to lock the doors and have a night at home with some friends. But what happens if one of the guests you've invited, is in fact the brutal killer that the city is fearing? House Guest is a tense thriller that locks you inside the doors of the Murphy home, where new relationships are formed, a Father and Son bond is tested, and a Brother and Sister struggle to stay alive.

HOUSE GUEST is a truly terrible would-be psycho thriller filmed in a single house with a bunch of assembled characters larking around. It goes without saying that all of them are very poor actors, including nominal lead Alex Vincent who was once the child actor who appeared in CHILD'S PLAY back in the 1980s. It soon turns out that the psycho terrorising the city is one of those inside the house, but trust me, you won't really care. This seems to be going for an intense vibe a la the recent MOTHER'S DAY remake but it has zero suspense and tension and plenty of bad acting. There's lots of chit-hat between extraneous characters to pad out the running time and some brief murders. The whole thing is never as involving as it needs to be in order to work as a film.

I found out about this movie looking at Alex Vincent's IMDb page. The movie, at a first glance, looked interesting and I decided to watch it. I looked everywhere for it and I was only able to find it on Amazon. So, I decided to rent it for a little while...and I was really disappointed. The acting was incredibly bland. They sounded like they were reading the script for the first time. The reveal of the killer was rather predictable. I don't know if that was intentional or not but...that doesn't really change my opinion. Some of the sound effects sounded incredibly cheap (I know, the movie's budget is cheap but still...) When the killer was killing Seth, the kicking sounds sounded like two books were being smashed together. Looking at all of these reviews, I only found one person who agreed with me and he (or she)'s on Amazon. It seems like we're the only people who hate this.In conclusion, don't bother with this movie. Horrible acting, cheap effects and overall an awful movie. Avoid!

House Guest is a beautifully done independent film. Well written, and the acting is solid. All the elements (Writing, acting, editing, cinematography) that were put together to make this film work great. You get a well balance of a thriller, comedy, and drama all in one. Most indies usually end up being these low-budget looking, cheesy final products of what the film is, and House Guest isn't. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars. If you come across this film and wonder if it's worth checking out, you should go for it! Available on DVD and Digital download for a really great price. Wouldn't mind checking out future projects from the filmmakers, and everyone involved in this film.

This film is amazing! I highly recommend it to anyone. The pool of talent that surrounds this film begins with its writer-Alex Vincent. Any Chucky fan will remember him in his role as Andy Barclay in Child's Play 1&2. House Guest invades the doors of the Murphy home with a vicious killer on the loose. This film deserves recognition due to its pool of talent that helped take this film from pen and paper to the big screen. Their names are Brian and Jake Jalbert. The other pool of talent that makes this film memorable is the talent of Randall Speakman aka "Mickey Diamond." Everything about this film is so good. The score is amazing, and the film has comedic moments that are really funny; however, the most important pool of talent that brought the film to life is the cast. Alex Vincent's performance as Rob Murphy proved his versatility as an actor rather than just being known as "Andy Barclay." He has a lot to offer, and he deserves an Oscar for this performance. Brian Jalbert is amazing in the role of Chase, and Nick Canning is hilarious. Maylin Morera and Danielle Marucci are two fabulous actresses who have lots to offer. Randall Speakman aka "Mickey Diamond" is a combination of Brad Douriff, Kevin Bacon, and Jack Nicholson. If I'm comparing him with these actors, he's pretty damn talented. He plays Mickey Diamond with the tenacity of a volcano. This film deserves Oscars. I loved the fact that the heart of the film is about a brother and sister and the test of a father and son bond. pool of talent that surrounds it is amazing...please check it out. It is a definite plus for horror fans! Check it out!
