I'm pretty picky with movies and I found this very watchable. I recommend it. The suspense is good- a 'ski-lift' hanger, if you will.

In the trivia in amazon it is claimed the director got the idea after a suicide on a chair lift which was supposedly validated by some woman who happened to be at the film festival the guy was at and HAPPENED to know the victim. Sick and tired of directors taking liberties in claiming their movie is remotely based on a true story because I can find nothing on the net or in papers about ANY suicide on a chairlift (besides jumping off and thats not what this seems to indicate since it mentions a "hole in the chair" kind of indicating he shot himself or some such. And this is a BRUTAL movie..and I like horror movies. The death of both guys and the fact the girl is the one who manages to safely make it down is ridiculous. The wolves would have chased her just on principle as soon as her back was turned and would have been able to outrun her little slide. Altogether idiotic gore fest. The trivia also says the actress was directors (or someones) wife for a time and is an old hand at movies..yeah b movies it seems. Too bad because she's beautiful, can't say she's talented per se but beautiful yeah.

first i thought it was based on true story. after few skipping of the boring scenes i realized it was more of a final destination type of flick even those were more plausible. it could have been a good 'survival' thriller if those details were worked out so that the audience with a bit of common sense wouldn't be offended or annoyed. ignoring the unlikely-to-happen details like the wolfs and ski resort being closed next day, even with a bit of common sense the youngsters would not make such fatal mistakes such as: rope from clothing or using the ski pole, also ski pole was used to defend against wolfs for second guy why not first?, jumping down carefully with knees up your chin from the lowest height ? climbing first on cable with feet as well with more padded protected hands done by piece of clothing perhaps, when jumping from broken lift knowing it will fall down as well and not rolling fast out of the way...movie must have been written by the blondie that held the rail by bare hand while having a glove on the other hand.

Terrible, terrible movie. I can't believe so many people gave this film so many positive reviews. The acting was horrible, the script was poorly written, and the film followed no plot whatsoever. Whatever you do, don't watch it - it is not worth the time, patience or money. I felt like I was watching a train-wreck waiting to explode watching this film. It hurt my brain that much. I rated it 1, but only because I can't give it 0. Stay away at all cost.
