After quitting his job and moving together with his family in a new home, Will begins to believe that something is not right. He starts encountering some strange events, nobody is willing to help, so he suddenly realizes that he's living a dream and that a hidden truth from the past is there to be found. It's a very twisted story of a man haunted by his past who struggles to preserve his mental sanity while trying to figure out what happened so wrong that changed his life dramatically. It is interesting and catchy with all its mind challenging events and its sudden changes of perspective keeping you focused all the way to the end. There is one aspect that kept me from giving it maximum rating and that is the cause of the fatal event which simply put, was awkward. It's a bit difficult to fully enjoy a film that's so serious knowing that it all began from a stupid misunderstanding. Otherwise, it's a pretty great drama.

Good suspenseful movie for the whole family. It had many twists and turns along the way. This was refreshing to see something well planned without all the gore that some movies have. The closure to the ending was not planned as well as the rest of the movie. I would have liked to have seen a better ending. Thanks for a good escape from real world for a bit.

I watched it for two reasons, because I love mindfak movies and because I love Naomi Watts. Double disappointment. Mindfak it is, but really nothing special, just decent mediocre mystery-thriller. And Naomi barely shows up. If you decide to watch it you won't waste your time, but if you skip it you won't miss much.7/10

In a bid to be all fresh and original on us, and to avoid predictable cliché, DREAM HOUSE turns out to be a right mess of a movie. The set-up is a familiar one indeed: Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz move to a rural dwelling with their kids, only to learn of sinister shenanigans in the neighbourhood. The house was the scene of a brutal massacre and the killer's still on the loose. So far, so predictable, but halfway through there's a big twist that you won't see coming. Unfortunately after this stage believability goes right out of the window with one muddled, nonsensical idea after the other. It becomes a pure fantasy film, one that bears no semblance to reality or indeed has a proper structure or plot either. We're supposed to believe in the dumbest character actions and the most ridiculous situations.Needless to say, nobody comes out of this looking good, particularly the interfering producers and the writers. Craig and Weisz turn in staid and dull performances and even reliable supporting stars like Elias Koteas and Martin Csokas are wasted. The less said about Naomi Watt's insipid turn the better. No, this turns out to be a godawful thriller and one to avoid at all costs.
