I don't know where to start. First I heard about the movie, when I saw trailer last year (2012). I thought the trailer was pretty impressive and wanted to see it. And then the movie got out and I read the review(s) online and the reviews were pretty decent. And then I don't know why I never went to the theater to watch it. One thing I can blame - only main stream Bollywood movies do well, especially in Minneapolis where crowd want to see only typical Bollywood masala movies. Back to the review - I was catching up something online and I saw David is ON, as I wanted to see it at one point of time, I started watching it on a bored weekend, and I got hooked within 5 min. What an awesome movie, screen play, camera work, music and acting. I didn't find single frame that wasn't good. And then I felt bad for not watching this in theater. And then I read some comments where people were saying "what a waste of time", what a shame!!! Now, I want to buy the DVD. Hats off to Bijoy Nombiar, finally there's someone who makes good movies in Bollywood. He is one guy I will watch for going forward.

Three different stories, of different periods, almost not intersecting, yet making an enjoyable, watchable movie. Vikram as Goan David is brilliant. Neil Nitin Mukesh as London David is good. Monica Dogra in her short appearance is breath-taking. Dance moves of Isha Sharvani in 'Tere Mere Pyar Ki' song is graceful . Isha is cute as always. Sheetal Menon looks as smart as she looked in Bejoy Nambiar's earlier original "Shaitan".. Regular Hindi movie watchers are used to longer and more meaningful roles from Tabu, Lara Dutt, Rohini Hathangady and Satish Kaushik .. So the viewers are likely to feel a bit disappointed..Sarika does not seem to have aged at all.. Two songs "Tere mere pyar ki" and " Yun hi re " are outstanding in tune and singing.. Photograpy is good.. The comic scenes of Saurav Shukla as Goan David's father is really good and original.. The movie could have done better with slightly more intense story and a shorter length..

The following review might have spoiler, as if it matters:Three different stories with absolutely no connection between each other, keep getting narrated in a fairly good cinematography with absurd plots and stories. 1975, London, all Muslim south-Asian characters, godfather like mafia gang, kills people constantly like rats. Black & white convinces you its 1975 as there was no colored film in 1975 !!1999, Mumbai, a Christian priest gets publicly harassed by Hindu extremist politicos, which gets tele-casted in the news channels but no one does any thing except his son running from one man to another woman asking why did they do it and gets beaten up repeatedly.2010, Goa, Vikram the south Indian star keeps boozing and quite understandably hallucinating throughout the movie.Dare to know more? Watch the movie "David" by yourself and waste your time. I wasted quite a lot of mine watching this crap and writing this review as well. What a waste !!

David 2 out of 5. Brilliant screenplay , bgm and songs are will placed ,loved bgm played in the scene where nassar will be dragged to street and also at the public meeting where the lady will be shot. Characterization is amazing. Bejoy's handling of the two story line is effortless. positive part is you wont feel any drag in any part of the movie, bejoy need to learn from maniratnam how to direct a bilingual movie, vikarm life had many characters where there is no lip-sink with the dialog. jeva's life part is amazing. many will be disappointed with the climax. I still don't understand why should the 2 David be placed in 1999 and 2010. even 2005 and 2010 doesn't make a difference i believe if i am not wrong. Dialog in the movie are pathetic(not all), I don't know how the dialog in Hindi version. Very good effort form bejoy. At the end there is no proper message or i didn't understand the message said, I like vikram as David, cause he is always drunk.
