Okay so I saw this movie last week and from reading reviews and what not I was expecting it too be painful to watch. Not at all! I thought it was funny and I saw no negative stereotypes whatsoever I've read something saying the plot was all over the place...umm no. If you pay attention you'll get it. I have A.D.D. and it wasn't challenging for me.I'm a fan of Sofia Vergara and I thought she was hilarious. Roselyn Sanchez and Jaci Velasquez were also great and they really worked well together and with Eduardo. I must admit though I also watched it with commentary on and its even, their super funny and you can tell they really enjoyed each other. Its entertaining!

Sooo cute! The plot was adorable, the cast, well at least the ladies, were absolutely stunning. I mean... god, I'd see it again just to see Roselyn Sanchez, Jaci Velasquez, and Sophia Vergaro running around half naked. Mmmmmm... Que Rico. Go see it. The critics hated it. I thought it was adorable. I recommend it... and the girls are drop dead gorgeous.

`Chasing Papi' is about a modern day Don Juan who winds up with more than he bargained for in the romance department. Thomas is a young Latino hunk who has three different girlfriends in three different cities. When his paramours finally find out about each other, a round of customary craziness ensues.`Chasing Papi' is an attempt to revive those old screwball comedies of the 1930's and 1940's, but it fails on virtually every level. It's almost impossible to believe that it took four writers to come up with a screenplay as lame as the one we have here. Of course one doesn't expect rocket science in a film of this type, but even in a screwball comedy a fine line needs to be established between the nonsensical and the stupid – and `Chasing Papi' crosses over that line with alarming regularity. It takes a certain rhythm and style to bring off humor in this vein and director Linda Mendoza fails to provide either of those qualities in this production. She has taken a cast of attractive, undeniably talented actors and actresses and forced them to overact so atrociously that any attempt at real humor is virtually eliminated from the very outset. `Chasing Papi' relies on maniacal behavior, nonstop blithering and corny reaction shots to achieve its laughs, but the laughs don't come because the effort is so transparently forced and obvious. In fact after about 15 minutes of watching these stereotypical shenanigans, you'll find yourself yearning for some much needed wit and subtlety. And an occasional time out for some therapeutic silence wouldn't hurt either. `Chasing Papi' is certainly pretty to look at (both in its characters and its highly colorful settings), but the overall effect of the film is one of annoyance rather than enjoyment.

When I first heard of this picture I was expecting a Latin -- and updated -- version of BOEING BOEING, the 1965 farce about a guy involved with three flight attendants. This film didn't come close to that, although the interaction of the female characters and the situation that occurred after they met is more like the sex comedies from Mexico that turn up on the Spanish-language TV networks. The three women are perfectly cast for a picture like this and do admirably provide a few good laughs. After a few scenes you also realize that their characters defy most stereotyping of Latin women. However, the main disappointment was that the movie trailers promised something the picture itself doesn't deliver: We didn't get to see more of Eduardo Verastegui, who is probably the reason most female viewers went to see this film. Those of us who tune in to Latin American soaps for the hot guys were definitely not satisfied!
