If you're stepping into this territory, you gotta know what you're in for. Welcome to a slasher B-movie! That sums up the whole thing. The movie is short if you compare it with today's standards; and, for a short movie, I think the storyline got kinda messed up. It seems like they took too long trying to put the audience up to the facts, but then they realized that they had only a short time to start making things happen and so they rushed the finale in. When the storyline gets real, it's already the end of the movie.I'm not saying that's a terrible thing. I mean, c'mon! Halloween (1978) did the same thing and it's considered a classic! What I'm saying is that this movie is for those that enjoy a slow paced movie. Storyline is given to you without rush. Only thing, though, that got rushed was the ending. The villain was OK, generic, but rather fine. I think they could've put more work into it. He's no personality whatsoever and often you'll be agreeing with the townspeople about him being a retard. At first, I thought he was not, but when you're introduced properly to him, you get the point straight up.I can't say this movie is worth watching, by any means. It's bland and shallow. Though, for its short length, I'd say you wouldn't be losing too much for watching it. It's just another slasher B-movie. Nothing to it.

A great slasher flick from a very talented Aussie director. Special effects are amazing - although if you've seen any of Chris Sun's other films you would expect nothing less! I admit I have never been a fan of Tara Reid in the past and while still skeptical, she certainly redeemed some credibility in this film reminding us that she does still have a killer 'scream'! Nathan Jones as Charlie.... not much more need be said other than wouldn't you run with a 7ft monster chasing you? With titles like Mad Max:Fury Road and Troy under his belt, he brings Hollywood to Aussie horror - a brilliant casting choice for the role of Charlie Wilson. The stand out once again is Allira Jaques - a Chris Sun 'rising star'- her talent and performances just get better and better with each film. A beautiful girl with great potential - hope to see more of her in the future. For those looking for a deep and meaningful story line - this is not the film for you. There are no 'feel good' romances or happy endings. However, if you live to be scared, love the 'edge of you seat' kind of thrill, enjoy hiding under the blankets or just love the gore and special effects that come with a Chris Sun film - then this film needs to be at the top of your 'watch list'.

I have watched hundreds of horror movies and I can tell you that this film is very predictable. When I finished watching this I felt as if it could have been much better than it actually was. The actors were fine if nothing else, annoying characters. I could not wait for donkey to die and when he did I predicted the penis being removed by the giant blade wielded by "charlie". Every single death was lovely and Gory.I do love the nod to Kane Hodders other character "Jason" from Of Friday The Thirteenth series. Is that you Jason..yup I approve of that. I even approve the seeming nod to House Of A Thousand Corpses. Giant knife wielding maniac son of "Otis" from The Devil's Rejects jumping on a car and shattering it while someone helpless can seem to only scream. The female characters were so freaking typical. Let us perpetuate the dumb blonde archetype by pandering to audiences. Tara Reid's performance was just fine. It was the constant barrage of the obvious oh this is stupid, oh I have a bad feeling, oh you are an asshole this is so stupid etc etc ad nauseum. My advice....try again because this was not my favorite film. Personally I have an urge to go back and watch Jason vs Freddy.

I loved this movie! The mix of humour, horror, gore and the cast of characters was brilliant. To think that it was made on the Sunshine coast of Queensland employing a lot of local talent makes me feel so proud that such a world class film was shot where I live an hour away from! From the very beginning you're hooked. Literally. Some of the humour is a little corny, but as an Aussie, I find this very realistic to our nature. The characters were realistic and believable, and quintessentially Australian...apart from Tara of course. Takes me back to the days of the old horror movies, when the gore and special effects weren't generated by computer. Fantastic work Chris Sun, please keep it up. You have raised the bar on Aussie Horror. Kudos.
