The acting was atrocious, the directing was horrible. The story was great and the fighting besides being badly filmed, was great.Every fight movie has to be about some thug fighting his inner demons, and more drama than some Merchant Ivory Production. This one has some of that but it was cool. Cheaply done, start off cheaply done. basically some guy walked into a KARATE school and hired the class for his movie. The film starts off by introducing the main characters as the hero is supposed to take a dive for a fight but honor-bound he refuses too. He's then jumped by his brother. The Jumper is an undercover cop trying to bust an impregnable drug dealing organization. The Hench-men in trying to attack the cop brother attack the fight brother instead. Then its on with both trying to get revenge on the organization, "THERE OWN WAYS." I've seen this movie a 100 times and I'll see it again a 100 more. I liked how a lot of characters were introduced they weren't one dimensional you liked them.Howeva, when the Hench-men attack the fight brothers family. they had the cop-brother tied up, and were interrogating him. i thought it would've been a more interesting movie had the cops and the crooks teamed-up to take out the drug operation. But this was a fight movie and it tagged all the bases. it had some jokes, and interesting characters which is more than most fight movies. One of the best scenes a cop and bad-guy get into a kick-off, while another duo get in a fight that involves them teaing doors off a car and fighting each-other with the car doors. I'v never scene a swinging car-door karate fight.
