This flick blows! I've just watched 2 crappy "thrillers" back to back; this and A cure for Wellness... Even if u take it with a grain of salt and try to justify some of the over the top stuff, it just doesn't work DO NOT WATCH (Regardless of how much u enjoy horror/suspense films)

***SPOILERS*** Bloody re-make of the 1974 slasher flick has a jaundice affected psycho Billy Lenz, Robert Mann, brake out of a local sanitarium as cause havoc among the students of the Delta Alpha Kappa sorority that was once his home. Having been abused by his deranged mother,Karin Konoval, who hated him because of his skin color-yellow-and really wanted a girl Billy was later raped by her who later produced a girl Agnas, Dean Friss, of her own with Billy being both her brother as well as father. Revenge came soon enough with Billy killing both his mom and her boyfriend, who was impotent, and ending up being put away for life at the State's Clark Sanitarium. That's until Christmas Eve 2006 where Billy now 35 broke out and headed for the sorority house to murder and dismember, by poking out his victims eyes, everyone there. Obviously insane and delusional Billy with the help of his sister/daughter Agnas end up murdering almost all the girls at the sorority for what seems like no reason at all, they never did him or Agnas any harm, just to show how crazy that the two are. The usual blood splattering scenes you would expect in a movie like this but it being done on Christmas making it far worse then it could have been if it was done on non religious holidays like "Halloween" or "Saint Valentine Day" or "Alfonso-Scareface Al-Capone's Birthday".***SPOILERS***We get the standard or usual slasher movie ending with both Billy and Agnas coming back to life-After being killed off-to finish the very job that they both started. Only to be killed for a second time in a far more bloody and spectacular fashion. In Billy's case being impaled on a Christmas tree as part of its holidays decorations. Actress Andrea Martin who was one of the killer's victims in the original "Black Christmas" in 1974 was back again for an encore as housemother Ms. Barbara MacHenry who ended up getting brained by a falling icicle as she was trying to flee for her life from the two psycho killers.

First let me say I never heard of the original until this movie came out. When one of my friends told me to see the original, and pass this trash up. Well I took a chance and bought the original, it was money well spent. This re-make however is more comedy than horror. I did like how they had more of a back story of who Billy and Agnes are. They are related, but they are not brother and sister. The movie takes place in different stages in Billy's life, abused as a child and locked in the attic. The re-make of Black Christmas is not what I thought it would be. It is a let down to horror fans who love old-school horror. It is one of today's typical horror movies, gore, dumb chicks, and a weak plot. If you want to see a great Christmas scary movie rent the 1974 DVD of Black Christmas. It is a great movie and it will keep U guessing til the end on who might me the killer.

Yeah I know Christmas is over judging by the date of this review, but let's end the jolly good season with this peace of dump that Santa left under the Christmas Tree. The story is about a young boy, was abused by his mother as a child. His mother cheated on Billy's father, and eventually killed the man, while keeping Billy in the attic--for good, while she was with her lover and starting a "new" family. As Billy's mother fell pregnant with a daughter and treated her with the love he had never experienced, Billy came out of the attic after years and brutally murdered his mother and her lover. Cut to present day, a group of six sorority sisters consisting of Kelli, Dana, Lauren, Megan, Heather, Melissa and their house mother, who now live in Billy's childhood home, find themselves being harassed by threatening and intimidating mystery phone calls during Christmas Break.Originally I was going to review this movie back in December before Christmas time, but I thought nah, Christmas time is where families coming together and letting the joy of Christmas lifted everybody's spirits and I'm here talking about a crappy movie like Black Christmas which doesn't deserve a full review at Christmas time.Hollywood remakes of horror films always feels like the producer's and even the director don't even give a damn if the movie is good or not, they only want money and nothing else. And that's why I can't stand those things. Movies are art and not a cliché cash grab, and this movie is a stains of all of that. The directing sucks, the music is awful, the acting was pretty poor and this movie has to be the most cliché, bloated, over wheeling horror flick in the road of 2000's horror cliché of pure madness.
