This movie is one of the most brilliant/hilariously pulled-off pieces of cinematic genius, ever written. Why it bombed/has received such low scores and virtually non-existent recognition is beyond me.With an all star cast of Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Stanley Tucci, Patrick Warburton, Dennis Farina, Ben Foster, Janeane Garofalo and Tom Sizemore, laugh-yourself-silly situations and simply an over all, "feel good," quality, if you're one of those types of individuals that enjoys a good, side-splitting comedy, silly and fun all at the same time, then do yourself a favor and see this movie.I'm not going to go into detail of what this movie is about (you can read that for yourself and with a synopsis and plot a LOT more professionally described than I could,) just let me say this...be prepared for a laugh a minute...from two arms dealing Russian bartenders who sit and watch nothing but a women's power aerobics competition in a bar with no customers, a loud-mouthed louse...the type you'd love to knock for a loop (played with pure perfection by Michael McShane), two bumbling and perpetually stupid robbers (Sizemore and Jackasses' Johnny Knoxville who work perfectly off each other to the point of being stand-up cheer-worthy on the funny scale!) to hilarious references to the Discovery and Travel channels, you'll find yourself grinning before you even realize it.Throw in a stupid squirt gun game that is EXACTLY what kids of today would do in school, a gaggle of goats, a hurt-your-face back-and-forth between a gator fan and an antagonistic radio show host and you have the makings of PURE BRILLIANCE in comedy.Probably the most two memorable characters are hit men, Henry Desalvo and Leonard Ferroni...who with their one liner, "You got that right," steal every scene they are in, making for some of the best comedic work, Farina (as Henry) has ever done.A one-of-a-kind movie and real treat.

This Tim Allen vehicle is a fun ride. If you're looking for Pearls of Wisdom, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for a movie that pokes good clean fun at some of the issues of today, while making you laugh, you're in the right place.Grab a box of Goobers, a large popcorn with extra butter, a non-diet drink and set your slightly big butt in a comfortable seat. When you suspend your disbelief, also forget about your diet, cholesterol problems and life's little worries. Just let everything go and enjoy everything that is going on in this FUN movie! It didn't win any Academy Awards, there are no life-affecting truths, it won't solve your real-life problems. However, this movie will let you relax and laugh without care. Take a break from real-life and get Happy!

The people behind this film also did 'Get Shorty,' based on a cool Elmore Leonard story. The cast of this film are a good mix of knowns and lesser knowns, but all bring something shining to the effort. Stanley Tucci is excellent and plays this type of character with freshness and wit. Janeanne Garofalo plays the cop with just the right mix of femininity and backbone. Even Johnny Knoxville's character is hilarious. The writers of this screenplay will keep you in stitches with the sharp dialogue. If you pay close attention to the interplay, you may find yourself laughing out loud! Consider yourself warned. Keep an eye on these producers: they know how to put out great comedy.

As others have stated in their reviews, this excellent comedy is one of the funniest films I have seen. It's over the top, slapstick, situational comedy at it's best. The casting and acting was perfect for this movie, Tim and Rene provided just the right mix of romance and hilarity. The hit men and Gator scenes are absolute laugh out loud classics and made me laugh the hardest and longest I ever have. It's a film that I mention whenever the topic gets to comedy films but it is one that everybody else seems to have missed. I'm not a fan of sequels usually as I prefer originality but I really wanted more after watching this work of art. Well done chaps.
