"Oh my god kid, your mom's got game." -BatgirlI enjoyed Batgirl the most. She did a good job making fun of Batwing. The begging was boring me. The Bruce Wayne/Batman twist revitalized my interest during the middle. If you pay attention, you can guess what is going to happen with the whole movie. I normally stop movies that are bad enough...I watched this whole movie.
... View MoreI am not much of a Batman fan, nor a fan of superheroes in general, but still I sat down to watch "Batman: Bad Blood" when I had the chance. And I did so with my son, as he enjoys superheroes in all shapes and sizes. However, it turned out that my son's interest in "Batman: Bad Blood" dwindled quite fast. And to be honest, then I found the storyline in this 2016 animated movie to be mediocre, and not really offering much of anything to spike my interest. But I persisted and stuck with it to the very end.I didn't really know many of the characters in this animated movie, so I have no clue of how true they were to their comic book origins. And while we are on the character gallery here, then I found the characters to be quite generic and essentially didn't have much of variations in personalities and characteristics. Nightwing was essentially just a Batman clone, and that was further cemented when he donned the mantle of the bat and pretended to be Batman. And Batwing, seriously? Batwing? Was the creativity well really so dry that this is what they could come up with? A tech-enhanced version of Batman. And suddenly Robin is a child and the son of Batman? What kind of twisted idea was that? Granted, I have no idea about the storyline of the comic books or other animated movies, so I don't know what warrants this drastic change of character and concept of Robin. Now, as for the animation style and art, then it was rather reminiscent of old school "G.I. Joe". And that worked quite well in favor of the animated movie, I think. The dialogue in "Batman: Bad Blood" was as to be expected and cheesy as superhero movie dialogue go. So you know what you are getting here. The voice acting in this animated movie was adequate, although I didn't recognize a single voice in here. I later saw that Morena Baccarin, John DiMaggio and Ernie Hudson were voicing characters, but I can't claim to have realized that while watching "Batman: Bad Blood"."Batman: Bad Blood" was mediocre entertainment, and as such my rating lands on a 5 out of 10 stars.
... View MoreWith this final installment in the "Son of Batman" trilogy, DC has shown that they know how to write damn good stories. Batwoman and Batwing, are great additions, and they both get to show off their stuff. This movie's so good, it's made "Mystery of the Batwoman" obsolete. With the Bat-family now at six members counting Alfred, the action in this is almost nonstop. The story's awesome and ties up the trilogy great. The animation is stunning, the action's incredible, and there are a lot of twists and turns along the way. Fantastic in every single way. Well folks, that's it, only one animated Batman movie remains, and I think you know what it is. It comes out on DVD tomorrow, and I'm gonna have a review for it the second those credits roll. The grand finale of the Bat-a-thon is less than 24 hours away! Next stop, "The Killing Joke".
... View MoreFirst off let me say I'm a huge fan of Super Hero stuff. As far as animated movies go DC has definitely been killing it ,all the justice leagues were awesome , the superman's were super-good and until recently the batman's also have been great, until recently because for whatever reason this is the third batman movie featuring Bruce's biological son Damien who is super-lame and non existent in canon , don't get me wrong I generally love a good "else world" movie, its usually cool to see our favorite hero's and villains in a "what if" scenario but Batman the dad sucks and Damien(his son) is such a brat you just want to see him get beat up or at least punched in the mouth, I could barely make it through the film to the obvious ending. Terrible movie to hopefully finish a terrible trilogy. Batman's kid harrumph , Cmon DC get your $hit together. We expect better.
