I dont understand why someone who wasnt a Christian would continue watching faith based films, only to give it 1 or 2 stars every time. There was a lot going on in the film, but the theme for me was connectivity. I believe whole heartedly that we are all linked. That your good and bad times have an impact on other people's lives and yes, a little far-fetched ALL the connections in this film, I really liked it.

... View More"A Question of Faith" is about tragic intersections involving three families. At one of the lowest points of the film, it appears as though one of the characters may spend most of her adult life in the big house for vehicular manslaughter. But due to the power of faith, all three families end up in the house of the Lord. The film opens with a passage from Psalms: "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles." Except in the film, it is first and foremost the strong women who rescue their angry and wayward menfolk from becoming backsliders. Indeed, the most moving moments of the film are the scenes where the wives of the pastor and the contractor redirect the men towards the straight and narrow path of God's plan. While much of the film was maudlin and far-fetched, it was nonetheless a cleverly constructed plot involving the three families. At one of the key junctures during the reawakening of the men, one character says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." The film was literally about "heart" in the transfer of one organ to another human being. But the more moving message was about the heartfelt experience of unconditional forgiveness in the face of tragedy.
... View MoreWhen looking at IMDB just be aware that many good Christian movies are heavily given one star ratings in order for the movies to appear so-so in the ratings. I would recommend judging on your own since this appears to be a concerted effort from those anti-Christian.We watched this as a family. It may be a little heavy for younger viewers in regards to grief and tragedy. Nothing graphic is shown. It is the situation that may be a bit sullen. Good messages on how one mistake can change your life as well as the difficulty of accepting loss.
