I'm not sure if I'm just the perfect demographic for this show, but I love the humour, it's one of the few shows on TV today that make me laugh out loud. The content completely resonates with me! Although I don't exactly identify with ALL the characters, as a new mother living in Toronto, I find this show refreshing, edgy, and unapologetic. Catherine Reitman is my new hero. And I wish I could personally shame all the people and critics (John Doyle from the Globe and Mail) who fail to see the humour and brilliance of this hot new comedy. Keep it up Catherine (and producer hubby). This middle class working Canadian mom loves what you've made! I only hope enough people see this show the way I do. So it continues for many more seasons.

First time writing a review and first time binge watching an entire season of a Canadian show. Writing is fabulous. Female actresses are phenomenal and plot line is laugh out loud funny. Totally nailed it. Can't say enough great things. Hoping for many more seasons of this awesome show.

I watched a couple of episodes of this show because it is on before the national news. This show realistically portrays what its like for a Canadian mother to work a comfortable, university entry office job.The problem is that the writing is hacky and uninteresting. Reitman's writing (she's not a professional writer, for one) sounds like an obnoxious person seated next to you in a restaurant, and importantly that's how she wants to sound. I'm being hypocritical, but CBC's "Schitt's Creek" does a better job of satirising and being funny.

I am just not understanding the show. I want to love it and there are times where I have been like this is so good but it is just a show perpetuating the mommy wars. It doesn't show enough diversity and pins stay at home moms against the working moms because it continually shows the one mom in the class that doesn't work as a weird outside the box freak (especially when it comes to breastfeeding). I am a working mom and was hopeful to see a balance of what normal looks like but it is a Stereotype of what working moms should be or something. I find that all the main character mom's also being slim and tall really odd. The more size diverse characters are the single friends or assistants. I may be reading into this more than I should but the producers and writers have just missed an amazing opportunity. I don't see the show lasting because it is alienating its demographic. Too bad.
