I just wanna to say the show is great and it should have never stop at season 6. So if there is any chance bring them all back.
... View MoreI thought I'd give it a shot so I began with the pilot and about two weeks later I'd seen the entire show. One has to compare it to similar types of Sherlock Holmes-inspired shows like Castle, Lie to me, Mentalist, House, Suits, Chuck and so on. And I'd say it gets into the top 3!It's a bit much at times and it might have gone on for a couple of years to long, but it's worth the watch. What differs this from the others? Well it's basically have the same starting point as The Blacklist (2013), a criminal that knows better then the cops and helps them. What I REALLY like is that they've gone away from the modern "male/female" that we see in Mentalist, Castle and Blacklist to go back to the older Sherlock/Dr. Watson pairing we all know and love. The bond between Caffrey and Burke is amazing, it takes the turmoils you might expect and never gets to close. I simply love Tim DeKay in this role, he was made to play Peter Burke! Not that in love with Matt Bomer, the character is a bit over the top and the looks surpasses the talent. The supporting cast are all aces! Perfect assembly and you can't ask for more. Some sub-plots and sub-stories are awful and the all to predictable final season takes this down to a 7. But it's a strong 7 and I recommend this show!
... View MoreA Review WHITE COLLAR TV Series (2009–2014)The way I watch a TV series is to binge watch the entire series at my leisure. You never miss an episode and you can see at any point, if it is worth your time to continue with it. White Collar was worth it. I would have quit it after a few episodes due to the enormous plot holes, tortured twists, conjured timing and all around TV-ness with it's lack of inventive camera work, boring cinematography, etc., but not everyone is as demanding as me. Having said that, the primary reason I was able to see all 81 episodes to the end was chemistry. Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay and Willie Garson worked amazingly well together, each of them at the top of the food chain at what their characters do. Throw in Tiffani Thiessen who sort of ties them all together into one big rogue family and the heart of the cast is complete. Garson keeps it funny and inventive in spite of his total lack of acting ability but the quirky charm he exudes is convincing, and that is enough. It is inventive and complicated enough to hold interest. It's funny, sad, manipulative and has some incite without being too predictable. Ross McCall, a repeating villain, steals the show whenever he pops up to ruin someone's day. I recommend this show to anyone who likes FBI vs brilliant bad guys into high stakes white collar crime that can get very messy, very quickly. GOT Netflix?!!
... View MoreAfter enjoying films such as Wall St, The Big Short and Margin Call and series one of Billions. I looked for something similar, I looked at the reviews for White Collar and most were good. However, they must have been written by someone who is bereft of any knowledge of reality.I bought the 1st series of White Collar from Amazon. I wish I had saved my hard earned money, the show is awful, torture to watch. Matt Bomer the pretty boy actor, can't act for starters and the rest of the main cast struggle to convince. The story lines, more like the 60s Batman and Robin episodes, but not as near entertaining.I donated the box set of the pilot and first series to the local charity shop, maybe someone else will enjoy suffering it.
