I noticed some of the women had pierced ears. I would think very few would have their ears pierced. They also talked about house training the horses - not sure the word house trained was used in this period.

I didn't miss even one episode for the 5 years watching WCTH. They strung us along for most of it until they finally have J&E get married and then Jack is QUICKLY gone AGAIN and then boom dead. He was one of the main characters they could had recast to keep the J&E story lines going like the book does!! I don't get attached to actors on shows, I get attached to the story lines, to the characters! Lissing is not the only good actor. He wanted off the show, fine, they should had recast!! Sure some fans said they would rather Jack be killed off than to recast him but most of those same fans that expressed either way said they would keep watching if Jack had been recast whereas many fans won't keep watching with Jack's character gone. I've read a lot of comments on different sites and the majority of fans would had accepted Jack to be replaced with another actor over killing him off. They want us to respect Lissing's decision to leave and I do but they need to also respect fans decisions, too, that are leaving the show. I won't change my mind! I have no desire to watch the new direction of Elizabeth. Horrible writing killing him off IMO.

Absolutely love the program and all of the characters. Fairly certain however, that Crest White Strips and braces were not available in this time period. It's extremely distracting when every single character has blinding white, perfect teeth.

This is the best show I have ever seen. It is really romantic and a great family show.
