this show wasn't that bad but there were some things that bugged me, this show is a rip off of Jake Long: American Dragon Some Of the similarities are:1. there parents had there generations skipped2. both are Chinese-American 3. both have a talking dog with magical knowledge4. They have the same initials Juniper Lee Jake Long5. their grandparents are their mentors 6. both are celebrities in the magical world7. both have a troublesome sibling that also has magical powers8. they have awkward friends9. their responsibility is destroying their livesthis show also has many plot holes and makes no sense at times and just gets boringAlso this is an American cartoon but Juniper can frequently be heard speaking Chinese and guess what, in one episode someone sees juniper using her powers and the show gets canceled just LOL

When I see this show for the first time, I could not believe it, this show is exactly as Jake Long. The worst of all this problem, is that was COMPLETELY A COPY OF JAKE LONG, first an occidental main character, a Sharpei dog that can talk, and the plot of facing supernatural forces, this was the worst think that someone could have ever done, because Jake Long appear first.Juniper Lee have better color on its characters, but lacks originality. If you really enjoy Jake Long, you better review this show by your self, personally, I was completely disappointed to see a show that has no original story.

I periodically watch Juniper Lee and find it highly entertaining, but it is only an American Dragon: Jake Long knock-off. I have an appreciation for both programs, but the "AM-DRAG" as Jake calls himself is much more preferable. The acting in both programs is really good, but Dante Basco provides a much more engaging main character. I like that he has an arch nemesis that is a recurring character. I also like the fact that mostly everyone in his family knows that he's a dragon and that he has two best friends that know. I think Jake has more of a support system than June. In my humble opinion, Jake Long has more to offer.

Right now, there are two cartoon shows that are vaguely similar to each other in their mix of Asian heroes, magic, monsters, and talking dogs: Disney's "American Dragon: Jake Long" and Cartoon Network's "The Life and Times Of Juniper Lee". For my money, "Juniper Lee" is the way to go.One reason that I like "Juniper Lee" is that the characters are generally less annoying than the cast of "Dragon". I can't sit through an episode of that show; I can watch Juniper Lee's adventures. Another plus is the show's slightly wacky tone; you're not supposed to take most of this stuff seriously. The voice acting is really good here, and once again Lara Jill Miller impresses me (she is the title role). When you find yourself struggling to find an entertaining kid's show, turn on "The Life and Times of Juniper Lee".
