Am I losing my mind... Or are most of the "original series" being put out lately just boring as heck?Should I be blamed for holding these series to the "Breaking Bad Season 1" benchmark? Maybe so... I guess I got spoiled.I tried, again, tried hard to get into this. I mean, its all up my alley: Period piece. Intrigue. Clothes. Haute Couture Clothing (Imbd just scolded me for shouting, sorry). The ad alone with the gorgeous red dress photo had me at Hello. But halfway into the first episode, I had to give up the ghost. Honestly I fell asleep and I can't even tell you what was going on. A man, he's reviled by the media for some reason, he's apparently rich a.f., cobblestones, and he's a fashion designer icon. He's the designer of a gorgeous emerald green satin dress.. that much I can tell you. The rest is a fog.I hope you have better luck with this one than I did.That is all.

I nearly didn't watch this, as i just assumed WRONGLY it was a story about bringing back fashion in Paris after the war. Boy was I wrong. From the start to the finish i was totally hooked. Yes it has fashion, and pretty feminine ladies, but the story behind the scenes is full of intrigue, treason, murder, collaboration, and so much more. I really really really hope there will be a season 2, i so want to see what happens next. 8 episodes all of them excellent. Oh and the joy of seeing Frances de la Tour once again in an Amazon series, she is so dark and mysterious as the mother of the Sabine brothers...... I loved her character one of my favorite English actresses who can put her hand to anything, comedy or drama. Please watch this series, and review as the more people who do it the more likely we will see the second part in production.

I cannot tell you how many times I have watched episode 3. The chemistry between Nina and Claude and Nina's love for her mom and Monsiour - captivating. I love all the characters - the wife, the mother (Claude and Monsiour's mother), Claude, Nina; her mother, the darling Black girl and her giftedness and character - she is radiant. This film has it all. It is beautiful!I also loved the lady who supported Nina when she was presented coming down the stairs - she was a jewel!Don't know if this makes any sense to you - but I have been enthralled with the beauty and quality of this fine film for months - I can only say, thank you!

The Collection just may be my favorite thing that I have ever binged watched.I said binged watch (not binged generally as nothing beats Yodels or as we call them out in Los Angeles "HoHos"). Who would't like Fashion, Intrigue, Love and a dysfunctional family all in post WW II Paris (ok I don't care for fashion but not like they are going to wear sweats in a period piece). The cinematographer transports you back, the dresses make you drool (ok I haven't worn a dress since they let us start wearing pants in Jr high in the 70s but the dresses are nice ) and Ricard Coyle and Tim Riley will give you palpitations. The only problem for me was that it ended. Hello season 2??? I'm waiting....
