I am actually disappointed that the Series ended so briefly. I do strongly suggest for it to continue. It is just as amazing as Sex and the City, with a touch of teenage dreams and romance (even better), which is so touching to the heart, not just a series for teens, but adults are able to relate it closely to heart, having some nostalgic moments; reminding them of their high school best friends, lovers, struggles, and achievements to who they are now. It creates reflections and connect to the audience through its light and amusing best representation of a flash-back story of an amazing and ultimate popular series of the decade.I could not express more; I LOVE the Series !! I am addicted to it, especially the casts have done such an amazing job to represent existing and ever popular characters, which is not an easy task at all. I love every characters in the Series. They are all very good and talented. I especially Love Carrie and Samantha for their talented acting, very close representation to the real adult characters, and Larissa for her flamboyant super artistic and highly great taste in art & fashion. Lastly, my own personal admiration to Austin Butler, such a good- looking man with such a charming character. I feel like I am living the life of Sex and the City and re-living my beautiful past, except unfortunately, no Sebastian Kydd in my life.. Would repeat years of my life for having him.. 😉So.. Please... Producers, Directors, Actors, and Influencers.... If you do read this comment, continue the Series...

You cannot expect SATC wit with Carrie's diary on TheCW. It's not HBO and not aimed at the same viewers. I can understand the hard core Sex and the City fans disappointed by the changes in the story of Carrie, simply they kept only Carrie's spirit to built the character, to serve the story.Feels like they changed her family background to better accommodate the story. Being raised by her father and having a sister close in age, makes more room for Carrie's young relationships. With a mother and no sister, she would have shared much more with her and less "time" for her friends. With this new family background, she is already propelled in the NY and fashion world that she cannot find or share at home. I was very glad that for once a show for younger audience didn't picture young girls as we've seen too much, brainless, wearing minuscule dresses and spiky heels all day, to show their super skinny shapes. Characters here are much more real and it's a breath of fresh air.The 80s set is fun, even if I don't recall some styles. Music of course is great and overall I enjoyed the show.

I don't even mind that Carrie Bradshaw here breaks canon from Sex and the City, which seems to be what most of the negative reviews go on and on about. I don't even mind that much that the lead actress looks like a "Bratz" doll. I could almost even overlook some trite teenager-coming-of- age stuff. But after a few episodes the show just became painful to watch. The central conflicts in the show are downright trifling and unnecessary. Watching this show is like listening to some spoiled over-privileged white girl helplessly whine and complain about their nonexistent problems. The last straw for me was the Thanksgiving episode. I won't spoil it, but basically what happens in that the writers utterly reduced Carrie to having NO common sense, just so she can fail and then whine and complain about how she failed. Lazy, stupid writing.

The Carrie Diaries is one of the best TV shows I have EVER watched, it's fun and amazing, it has great plot, one that keeps you interested and it decently deserves a SEASON 2. In my opinion definitely the best CW show, and I was a big fan of Gossip Girl and also liked The Vampire Diaries, but this show is way better. Every time I watch it I just want more and more, I feel emotional after every episode, and I'm completely sure the second season will be lot more popular. I think the only mistake of this show is that, that it is a prequel to SATC and that SATC fans are the ones giving bad reviews because it has a completely different storyline with much more interesting story that everyone should watch and like not just them. It's amazing to see life of teenagers in 1980s and it seems a lot more interesting then ours, the relationship between Carry and Sebastian is so adorable, and I think he should stay the main roll in SEASON 2. Also it would be nicer to have more than just 13 episodes, and the show should start in the beginning of October, right after the Summer when they start school again, when Carry and Sebastian meet and share their feelings! I sincerely hope for Season 2 because it is a great show, that could become even better and it would be disappointing for teens all over the world to cancel it!
