Please make new series! The story for a second (And third?) could be awesome!

Well I just watched this on Netflix and I have to say I was surprised at how good it was and how much I enjoyed watching it. The acting is good, the CGI was decent, the plot was good and the characters were likable (the good guys anyway). It's just a shame that it was dropped after one season, because it would have been interesting to see how the second season developed. When you look at some of the rubbish that gets made now for multiple seasons it does make you wonder how decent series like this get dropped. If it was money, then I am sure that a similar production could have been made with a smaller budget. Anyway, I hope someone picks this concept up again in the future and gives the story a finish it deserves, either as a TV movie or another season.

I'm really enjoying the first series - special effects are good, acting is good, concept is interesting and relevant. I was pleased to read it was filmed south of Brisbane.The only real spoiler for me is to see tropical fruits, especially Dragonfruit, hanging out of trees so obviously tied there. Really? The real plant that produces this fruit, a cactus vine, would have been more interesting to look at. A small thing in the scheme of things but annoying when I see it.

The first episode was really cool. Seeing the families go into the past was interesting, but after that, it got boring. And repetitive. The first episode deals with dinosaurs (the whiny teen boy skips an orientation to be with some girl), and then they save them all and it's a happy ending. Alright, that was an entertaining episode. But the next few episodes also deal with dinosaurs. Some might not have, but the episodes are so bland and repetitive that I can't tell which episode is which. The drama in this stuff is unbelievable too. They are the last hope for humanity, yet the teenage boy still acts like an angry spoiled brat. I don't care how forgiving the people in charge of Terra Nova are, but I don't think they'd just be okay with you not even following the rules from day 1. And then drama with dinosaurs keeps coming up throughout the season. And there's so much drama. I don't understand it. Yeah, of course there might be people who don't want Terra Nova to happen, but having so much drama (with little learning about where they are in time) is so bland.Basically, first episode is cool. After that, it'll just be a show you leave on when you're playing a game.
