The first few episodes were quite good, then it turned into a boring, poorly written, and predictable drama.The writers didn't flesh in the characters of the father and son, with both of them condemned to unrealistic, machismo-spouting and overbearing one-dimensional characters. What's up with the daughter, ever-petulant and belligerent toward a father who didn't know she existed?What show's writers would dare to get up on a soapbox to pontificate about abortion? A promising start turned to a disappointment. Unrealistic, imprudently controversial, implausible characters, and pompous preaching. What's to like?

The series starten out as an intresting show. I more or less binged it. But at the seasin finally thet must hade run out of money or something. CGI from the 80s why?

I'm really enjoying this series. It's similar to Supernatural, Buffy, Charmed,,etc., with it's good vs evil, family (or Scooby gang) vs the world type stories, but it has it's own unique flavor. I really like it. I also like the characters, and the main actors are very good, in my opinion. The only thing I dislike is part way through the series, the camera angles get really strange and take me out of the story completely. Way too many severe close ups, and severely changing camera angles that swoop from regular view to top down view, then back again, that totally take me away from the story line and make me focus on the camera skills instead and think "wtf is happening, is the camera man high?" It is jarring and really detracts from the stories. If it weren't for the weird camera angles, I would have rated this series a 10.
