I saw this series in the last year and I absolutely loved it. As a whole, it was well done and it did its job in entertaining me. However, there were five things that irked me throughout the series: 1. Kim. Okay, yes, she's supposed to be the annoying younger sibling character, but she NEVER got disciplined for mouthing off to her parents. If I had said or done half of the things this girl did while I was growing up, I would've been either spanked or grounded. 2. Will in season 3. For the most part, I have no problem with him. He reminded me a bit of Byron from S1: a genuinely nice guy. However, what I had an issue with was the girls looking to Will suddenly treating him like the expert in all things mermaid after finding out Bella (the mermaid who replaced Emma in S3) was a mermaid when Zane had known about them for two years. 3. Cleo: Her whole personality changes in S3 and she becomes a cross between Lewis and Emma, which made no sense. I could see her becoming more confident after the fiasco with Charlotte but to suddenly change her personality so much? 4. Bella's appearance:. Bella herself is an interesting character, but Cleo and Rikki were awful quick to welcome her into their group after everything with Charlotte. Why weren't they more suspicious? 5. The water tentacle/comet angle: honestly I wasn't a fan of this angle as it made it feel like a whole different show. However, these flaws don't take away from my enjoyment. The series is wonderful and I enjoyed every character even the villains.

this show is great great effects for a low budget show. stunning underwater photography and amazingly realistic tails make this one of the greatest mermaid media ever created. the show however is not so popular in the us but its incredible popular though out the world showing in over 140 countries/territories and over 200 million viewers of the show a week making huge. with the demand for a new season, a new season will start this October. the beginning is a little bad by not so good acting but good enough and then over a short time they get they're acting great. the show has a lot of twists in the tail(laugh out loud) making it one of my favorite shows ever. i highly recommend this show to anyone who likes magic mermaids for all ages

Though I should be embarrassed to say that at 18 I watch a television show marketed for tweens, I'm not. H2O: Just Add Water is quality entertainment. The storyline, though not entirely lacking in plot holes, is well thought out and attention catching. I've scoured the internet on more than one occasion in the attempts of finding the next episodes and I'm mildly heartbroken about the current state of Season 3. I cannot help but remain interested in whatever might be happening in "mermaid land" The acting is certainly not that of Kate Winslet or George Clooney but as far as the small screen goes the skills of the young cast are enviable. Phoebe Tonkin (Cleo), Cariba Heine (Rikki), and Claire Holt (Emma) are the three headliners. They portray their roles as not only mermaids but best friends in a believable and touching way--and manage to convey turmoil in their relationships with each other but significant others as well. We often see Angus McLaren (Lewis) and Burgess Abernethy (Zane) throughout the series and they too are welcome characters. Both portray teens with real personality flaws and remain an area of interest.Certainly the series isn't without its flaws but it's a cute show that will keep you entertained. I'll definitely continue watching for as long as it runs.

One of my friends recommended this show to me, and once I saw the first episode, I didn't really know what to think. The story starts off with Cleo being the main focus, and jumping right into her life, with her friends, enemies and family.Who are the people she is talking to? The story starts off slow, and if you are only planning on seeing the first episode, steer away right now. The characters' backgrounds and personalities are built up over the first few episodes, along with how they can cope with what is happening to them, but you have to stick with it or it won't make any sense.Cleo is talking to this girl who is swimming, Emma. Emma is an important character int he story, as without her I am sure Cleo and Rikki would have been goners from the start. So, we meet Rikki, who stole something off someone's boat (Note to self : watch my wallet around her), and valiantly jumps into the boat she stole the item from, which Cleo is now in. Now, my first impression of Rikki: Loud mouthed and cheeky. It turns out I wasn't that far off, but, in the end, it makes the show all the better. The 3 girls' personalities even out over the episodes. And well, we have the main characters: Emma, the cautious one, Rikki, the one in-your-face one, and Cleo, the . . . I am not really sure how to describe her. Off the top of my head I would say 'annoying', but I think there are depths to her personality that I keep overlooking. Then there is Lewis. Having known Cleo for who knows how long, he is seen often, as more of a comic relief character who thinks he is a scientist, and is usually, if not asking the girls for hair samples, trying to figure out what is up with them. All in all, I would say this is a great, fun show. The plot is, in fact, thicker than I would have thought possible from watching the first episode (So stick to it!). It has a great assortment of characters (though, I do think a few skip between in and out of character), and plot twists when you least expect it (or think nothing else can go wrong for the three). So, I give this show 8/10 rating, for a great plot, good humor, and episodes that you want to see at least twice.
