This has got to be one of the LITERAL WORST shows to ever come out of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, next to Mr. Pickles and King Star King. Christy Karacas, who was one of the series' co-creators, said that this was influenced by Bob Clampett and Tex Avery, when REALLY, it was influenced MORE by the Brothers Grunt, Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon, Family Guy, and Drawn Together!! Superjail! is the WORST Adult Swim show of the 2000s, mainly because it's too vulgar, raunchy, violent, and disturbing. The animation is just god awful, it looked like if it was done by PFFR. The show is the original predecessor to Mr. Pickles and King Star King. The only likable character is Jared, because people treat him like trash. I felt sorry for Jared. The Superjail Warden has to be one of the worst characters in any animated television series ever produced. If you hate Mr. Pickles and King Star King, DO NOT EVER WATCH SUPERJAIL!!!!

Frankly, it worries me that so many tout this awful excuse for a show as "genius." It is a complete gratuitous, lame brained, plot less, freak show that leaves me feeling sick for the people who make this and for those who watch this and find pleasure. I really love Adult Swim and have watched it since its inception, this is the one show that I can't understand the draw to. There are other shows I don't necessarily like, but can understand why others might, but really there's no excuse, other than mental illness or drug induced brain rot for liking this. I wouldn't doubt if mass murderers and baby killers are among those giving this good reviews. If you find enjoyment from this show, I urge you to seek psychiatric help, now.

When I first saw this show, I noticed that it had AMAZING animation, but was still sick, twisted and bizarre.I loved it!!! Superjail is so trippy it makes Yellow Submarine look like an anti drug PSA. The show is set in what else but a jail? But it's a SUPERjail, a weird facility the size of a city that houses the most vicious inmates. It's located inside a volcano that's inside a volcano. Just a warning to protective parents, the animation is very lively, colorful and psychedelic, and the animation looks amazing, so it may end up attracting younger children. Don't let it fool you though. While it is a hilarious show, it is also very violent. Most of it is comical, but it's still really gruesome. Entertaining, but gruesome.Even though there's only been 21 episodes as of today, there's still been time to grow fond of the characters. Every episode starts with a criminal called Jackknife committing a crime, and being captured by Jailbot during the opening theme. Jailbot is a robot that does the wishes of the Warden, and is often shown dealing with the inmates. The Warden is the owner of Superjail who likes Alice, and reminds me of a hilarious, deranged version of Willy Wonka. Almost every episode revolves around his latest schemes to improve Superjail or get what he wants, which usually results in hilarity. Alice is the the security guard. She is obviously a transvestite, very masculine, and violent. Jared is the lovable, short, panicky accountant who is recovering from almost every addiction imaginable and is often seen helping the Warden. The weirdest characters are probably the Twins. While this is more out of playfulness than out of evil, they serve as antagonists to the Warden. Most of the time they are seen messing up the Warden's plans, which inevitably leads to more violence. Although it turns out that they are in Superjail on vacation. So basically an episode follows this format. The Warden comes up with a plan for Superjail, Jared complains, the Twins mess it up, extreme brutal violence, credits. It's simple, it's shocking, and it's hilarious. I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for something weird.

I watched one episode of this show about a year ago and found it pretty boring. It's somewhere between gore-humor and awkward-humor, and it relies on the same couple sources for laughs over and over again. The Warden is just straight batshit insane, his secretary is a disgusting shemale mutant that he wants nothing more than a night in bed with, and the inmates lives are regarded as worthless and therefore no one is really phased when they are brutally slaughtered. After watching a couple more episodes however, it became pretty clear to me that there was a saving grace for this show, and that is that even though the show isn't incredibly diverse or clever, it paces itself and sets itself up pretty well for insane, comically over-the-top endings to the episodes. The most obvious episode in this case is "Cold-Blooded", where the jail becomes frozen solid and snow creatures unleash gory hell on the inmates and basically anyone and everyone in the script. The point is that the show gives you kind of mildly funny, gory deaths until you're sick of it, and then overwhelms you with ridiculously fast-paced, orchestrated genocide. Even though you were sick of the show being monotonous, by the time the ending scene is finished, you are laughing your ass off because what you just saw was so epic that it changed your mind again. The opening credits also feature different crimes being committed, and then Killbot, the Warden's robot, brings them to superjail. Some of these were pretty funny as well.
