I never thought the trailers were serious. Well I didn't think that could be an actual movie. And yet I serendipitously watched this series today, and I can assure you that this is a great series.Possibly the best adaptation that I have seen so far ! The art, the technique, the philosophy, the cast, the story, everything came out perfectly. It evens surpasses the fan's expectations. The series begins slowly, we don't care about the introduction of the character, and fine, because there is none. The martial art approach was well thought out. From climax to final battle I was glued on my seat watching this. This series is so good, there is no word to explain it further, just watch and enjoy!

When I watched the movie, I was very impressed with the moves and how the character played their roles. And the looks, they are more likely to have same feature especially Ken and Akuma base on the video game. The Hadouken and Shoryuken are fantastic and awesome!!! This is really an exciting movie and looking forward to watch the other Street Fighter sequel! When I was in college, I even compete with other players like challenging them while using Akuma as my favorite character. I am actually waiting for Akuma to use the Hadouken through the air. I really don't know the exact term but it is like firing the Hadouken while jumping. And also some kicks of Akuma in the video game are not shown in the movie. But nevertheless, I am really impressed overall with the movie. And it was nice to know how Goki became Akuma and how it all started between Ryu and Ken. Hopefully in the next Street Fighter movie sequel, they will include the story of Ken having a wife and a kid. And I also hope that they make the movie Street Fighter: New Generation and so to find someone who can portray the role of Gill with the power to do a meteor strikes. An Awesome Movie to watch!! :-)

"Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist" was allegedly supposed to be THE movie for the "Street Fighter" franchise. I can't claim to have had any expectations to this, given the previous movies. But this 2014 really is the icing on the cake. It was abysmal on so many levels. The storyline was just a mess, and there was no real coherency in it, and I must admit that I dozed off more than once throughout this movie, and ended up getting up and leaving, not finishing the movie. The characters in the movie were adequate, but wow it was so hard to take Ken seriously with that hair. He looked like he had a really bad wig attached to his head. The fighting was adequate, but there wasn't much of it. Which otherwise would have added a bit more to the movie. The Van Damme "Street Fighter" movie was at least more spoofy, so it was more enjoyable to watch because it was so out there. And the "Legend of Chun-Li" was at least a step in the right direction, but not really great. For a martial arts movie based on a video game, "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist" was a snoozefest on a grand scale, and it failed to entertain me on any level. As such, I give it a mere 1 out of 10 stars.

I've been waiting for a Street Fighter live action adaptation for ages...I mean there has been previous attempts, but that's all they were attempts, and they messed up the story so much that not even half way through those movies you'd go "What the hell???"...So after watching this feature film, I was completely blown away. They stayed true to the Street Fighter storyline and the moves were almost as in the games. the only one i kind of hated was the 'Hurricane Kick', which i felt wasn't up to par. I'm not saying i wanted to see a couple of guys spinning endlessly like in the game completely defying gravity, but a 720 degrees spin with three kicks would have been cool. The Hadouken, and Shoryuken, were awesome. The best thing for me was my favorite in game character, Ken Masters, the casting was spot on...Ryu was a close look-a-like as well, but Ken sold it for me and that Flaming Shoryuken epic. Akuma could have looked a little scarier though, but his finishing move, wasn't expecting that at all.So now am begging the producers and director to please, please do make a sequel or two. i would love to see your take on Chun Li, Guile, Bison,Sagat, and the most difficult of all Blanca and Dahalsim. This is a must watch for all Street Fighter fans and all those wanting to watch a good storyline.
