Good 'ol Oliver is the perfect sap to front on American television. Like most sitcoms, it fails greatly with ordinary, dumb but funny characters meant to liken what the networks feel their audience is. Google: 'influences on tv and movie scripts to program viewers' for openers. Find out why promos feature quick cuts the eye cannot follow ending with a very bright light shining from the media screen. Programmers and advertisers have been taking a long lunch on the average viewer for far too long. Any wonder why these 'boys' are now implicated in the "me Too' movement as media moguls, etc ?

... View MoreI understand the premise that these 2 divorcees fall back in love because of their divorce however, I feel this doesn't do the topic of divorce justice. Instead of showcasing a familial dynamic of a healthy divorced couple with the divorcees finding love in others while still caring for their children, the show centers on the idea that divorced couples can get back together and that all they need is 'perspective'. While this may be true for some divorced couples this is not the truth for the majority. It may also cause some younger viewers to believe that their parents could get back together. That being said, I only give this a 5 star review because of the wasted potential but, it is a decent comedy with some laughs.
... View MoreThis show is just what you expect at every turn. You have vanilla Jenna Fisher as a middle aged mom who is newly single and dating. She's okay, she seems talented in a very limited way, only able to play Pam like straight laced characters. Then there's the guy, Oliver Hudson who I find wholly unappealing for some reason. He's kind of trying to hard all the time and there's honestly just not much for him to do. The show so far revolves around miscommunications over who's dating or wanting to get back together, kid drama side plots, etc. Nothing special or new in this at all. At every twist, it's completely obvious what's going to happen next.Everything about this show is vanilla. The characters are mostly white average people. There's a funny asian side kick type. The kids are angsty. Skip it and watch something better!
