I have recently started watching. I am also hooked. The brilliant acting/chemistry of Cumberbatch and Freeman. I have not read the books. I haven't a clue what is to happen next, but rest assured you don't need to have read these books to enjoy the talent in front of you. Insanely entertaining.

The best detective series out there. The script is great, plot is great, acting is superb, the whole show is almost perfect. Every episode was fine except for the last episode of series 4, which I didn't really like and felt that it could have been done better.

Well-written and accurately modern. I wasn't sure they could pull this off.

Bestttttttttt. This is perfect. Sherlock. I can watch it again.
