Seems like all of his crime situations revolve around African Americans...and I'm not one to play the race card but what's the deal? Some time ago, I noticed this and stopped watching his shows. Then about a year later, I started recording his shows again because I sort of forgot why I wasn't watching them and lo and behold, here we go again. Maybe its because he lived in a certain area that happened to include an African American population, but upon doing my homework, found out that his crime solving was done in Colorado Springs. The ethnic diversity in that area has an African American population of 5%. Apparently, per Wiki, he hand picked the crimes that he thought would be interesting to air and I have to wonder, what he's trying to accomplish.

Joe Kenda, I really enjoy your show. The content is excellent! The show as a whole is very well done. I think your voice and how you add your self to each episode makes it so enjoyable. But and you knew there woul be a but I am sure. Who ever does the make up for your show makes you look down right silly. Can't they find a nice color for your lips that would give your lips some color and not make you look like a clown. I am watching Season 4 and Episode 8. And in the beginning your lip stick is a horrible color and then whoever applied it had went off the lip area a few times, just making you look ridiculous. Hope somebody goes back and looks at this episode and others I have seen and fix them with some type of editing!

This is not a bad show. I've been watching it, sporadically, for a couple of years, but the narrations by Joe Kenda make that a real chore; hence the one star. I have police officer friends, and we all agree that Kenda is so full of himself that he's little more than a joke. I suspect that this TV show has gone to his head, as I cannot imagine that any of his colleagues would have worked with him, giving him full cooperation, if he was such an ass when he was on the force. Please, flush Kenda and his self serving narratives. I'd love to be able to watch without constantly switching back-and-forth to another channel every time Kenda comes on.

I absolutely love this show. I enjoy Lt. Kenda's commentary throughout each episode. He's smart, sometimes smart-assed, he's funny and my, my, my is he brilliant! I like the format they present the show in using actors, while Kenda imparts his wisdom as it was at the time of the crime. I look forward to each episodes and since I didn't watch from the beginning, I get to see "new to me" episodes as well. I've even watched episodes more than once because I like him so much. And it doesn't hurt that Carl Marino is very pleasing to the eyes. I would like to see him move on to more success because he really is a good actor. Anyway, if you've never watched it, and you enjoy this type of documentary style show, then give Lt. Kenda a chance. He's the man!!
