I was so sorry to see this show end It was the most entertaining comedy show I have ever seen. All of the characters were so good especially David Spade but when you brought in Timmy that made the show even funnier. I thought is was one of the very best casting jobs, there wasn't one actor that didn't do an outstanding job. It seemed to be getting better and better and I very rarely like comedy shows but this one really was funny and entertaining and I truly enjoyed it. I was very disappointed when it ended especially after the character of Liz was on it seemed to be getting better and better so I was shocked when it ended. The only reruns I can find are in the middle of the night and there are only 1 or two and that's it, please put re-runs on starting from the beginning at an earlier time. Thank you

There are some episodes that are hilarious, a few that are weaker. But, as a whole, this is an excellent show that can be enjoyed even after multiple viewers. Thus, it is a great syndicated show. The show is about a long term married couple, a couple just engaged as the show begins and a single sex crazed character played by David Spade. Each episode tends to have two or perhaps three subplots involving each of these characters. After two seasons, Spade got an Indian-American assistant who is a bit of a prig. The married couple eventually have a lesbian (Sara Rue) as a surrogate, who becomes a familiar face. One of the crew from "Reno 911" also sometimes shows up as an unpleasant friend of wife who amusingly for a short time is married to Spade. For one season, the husband has a gay friend, which later is forgotten about. The show is well written and has a lot of funny situations, now and then rather off color in nature. One flaw is that later in the series less is found for the two female characters to do, especially "Jen," while her fiancée becomes a bit too stupid. Sara Rue fills the void here somewhat, but it would be nicer if the show had more of a female p.o.v. at times. As a whole, the female characters do have many moments. The show is not a classic but there is a reason why it stuck around for seven years. It is in fact a mini-classic for fans.

Hi Jeff - Hahahahahahahaha! How are you? - Hahahahahahahaha! I'm fine. - Hahahahahahaha! No wonder George Bush Jr got elected!!!This is a perfect example of what the general level of intelligence is seen to be by whatever Hollywood board says yay or nay to the junk on the screen today.A comedy without any efforts made in the script to include actual humor. But instead it is seen enough to just chuck the laugh track on overdrive with a tale behind it and all angles are covered for them.It is gone long past the time to bring back either 'live audiences' or 'no fake audience' only (like The Office) for all comedy shows in order to reawaken the spirit of true entertainment and not just mass production of low standard blabber! For those out there who've forgotten : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comedy

I am writing this review just to say farewell to Rules of Engagement. After a 7 year run they decided it ran it's course. Let just say that I loved the comedy and though many people said they couldn't stand the canned laughter, I mostly laughed when the laughter was queued. Patrick as Jeff was always so funny. His monotone and delivery of dialogue - perfect. One of his famous lines "Touchee"(sp?) or "well played" would always bring a laugh. Other great line: "super sperm", "shy dial", "Audrey is dumb", and "good advice Booger", among so many other great quotes. Jeff was just a likable guy. Megan as Audrey was the wife of Jeff. Audrey was funny, lovable, smart and beautiful. She played the role so believable as the career minded but wanted a baby lady. Girl next door likability. Her most noted lines were to Jeff : You're a jerk, or moron depending on the scene. And insulting Russell. In the diner: I wanted to share this with our friends...and Russell. Or walking into her house with Russell standing there: to Jeff: "Oh you bought me a garden gnome". Bianca as Jennifer and Oliver as Adam were great neighbors. Russell and Timmy as Adam's coworkers and definite comedic appeal were awesome. Various multiple other characters that reprised their roles were also familiar i.e. Liz.To sign off: Farewell Rules of Engagement thanks for the 7 years.
