I've always loved Powerless' concept, but the show was pretty terrible at the beginning; but my sister and I began to enjoy the more recent episodes, as they were more witty and well written. This last one, however, made us completely detest this show, and we refuse to rot our brains with any more episodes.Nearly all the characters are idiots, and how they even get through life is a mystery, let alone how they made it into such a big company. A lot of the jokes are badly written, and an insult to our intelligence. They constantly make men (at least the ones in charge) to be rude, sexist and stupid. And in the most recent episode, I completely gave up on Powerless.(Spoiler alert ahead, I guess) So, we have Emily ask Green Fury to be in a commercial for some sort of protective poncho. She accepts, and Emily comes up with the idea for the commercial. When it comes time to shoot the commercial, the (idiot) men in charge tell her that they've decided to change it, having Green Fury wash a car while she's naked instead. Emily finds this 'offensive'. So, in the end, they instead get Olympian (the only male super hero, who is, of course, shirtless at all times) to wash a car while naked, and guess what? Everyone loves it. So basically, that's not 'offensive', but a girl doing it... is? What are they trying to get at it with all this? That objectifying women is wrong, but objectifying men isn't?So in conclusion, my love for DC has slightly decreased thanks to this sorry excuse for a show.

This show is based on an interesting premises: What can normal people in a world full of superheroes? It brings another perspective into an old genre.A big flaw however is that the show tries too hard to be funny at times, even for a comedy. It also makes the common mistake of comedy series to not have a clear aim (e.g. an interesting aim would be for the protagonist to meet Brucy Wayne herself, or have crossovers with other superheroes), instead however it's a bunch of random gags and standalone episodes. This show has a great premises and could become big if they decided to add a red string to further seasons, currently however it's just a slightly above average comedy.

Lets keep this short by addressing the biggest issue with the show. There is not one likable character. There are plenty of other issues, but this is a big enough one to warrant not watching any more. I would recommend skipping Powerless.I give it 2 potatoes.

Very surprised to see the number of negative reviews. Sure there is room for improvement, but very few TV series are ever a 10/10 in their first season. Overall, the show's premise is novel (a commendable feat for the superhero genre) and offers great potential for interesting and funny plot lines (i.e. what do you do if you realize you're dating a super villain's henchman?). The cast is superb; and while there are few corny lines, overall it's an enjoyable show. I'm looking forward to watching the series develop (and hoping NBC gives it time to find its stride and fan base).
