... and makes you realize smth has happened to this planet. i thought this was only valid for the country i live in - but it seems it's everywhere on the planet. i am not talking about the show. above awareness came to me while reading the comments here. unfortunately we're not heading good direction. it seems this planet is rapidly turning just as the society in "kill the others" episode. such a pity. and this is a great show by the way.

Each episode can be very different, however I am rarely disappointed with any of them. The program has been consistently good, and I would a watch to anyone into science fiction.

You can't help but to compare this show to for instance the Twilight Zone or Black Mirror (and yes, you definitely can compare them). But where a show like Black Mirror mostly succeeds, Electric Dreams mostly fails in its execution. A quick rundown of the 10 episodes:1. The Hood Maker - 6/10 Decent episode with an interesting setting that is mostly left unexplored to make room for some kind of half-baked one-sided love story. Decent acting. Disappointing ending. 2. Impossible Planet - 4/10 This episode starts off interesting enough and some aspects keep you wondering what's going to happen next. But nothing really happens at all and it eventually leaves you hanging with a terrible open ending. Acting is so-so, as are the special effects.3. The Commuter - 5/10 A great performance from Timothy Spall. You'll have a lot of questions about what's happening during this episode, but almost none are ever answered so you'll have to use your own imagination. Boring here and there, and the ending again is very disappointing.4. Crazy Diamond - 5/10 Once again a very interesting world and setting, with (once again) almost no focus on it. What remains would still be interesting if it didn't turn out so silly. The emerging pattern: a terrible ending.5. Real Life - 6/10 This episode wasn't too bad and it keeps you wondering for a little bit, which I reckon is also the only thing it wants to accomplish, because there really isn't much more to it. The ending was ok, but could have been a lot better. 6. Human Is - 6/10 A decent episode, but overall nothing special. Again, nothing is really explained about the setting, which continues to be a letdown for me. The ending was ok, but could have been better (again). It's like the show doesn't dare to.7. Kill All Others - 5/10 This was a bit of a weird episode, and I generally like those. However, I just wasn't able to like this one. I'm not entirely sure where it lost me. The ending was a bit predictable.8. Autofac - 8/10 By far the best episode. Interesting setting and story and overall well executed with a very decent ending. 9. Safe and sound - 4/10 This started off interesting enough and as with most of the episodes, the setting is promising, but that's about it. I wasn't overly impressed with the acting. Sadly, you can see the ending coming from miles away and to make matters worse, the creators apparently seem to think we're still too stupid to understand, so they explain the ending to us again in the last couple of scenes. Come on..10. The Father Thing - 7/10 Not a bad episode at all, and it feels a bit out of place among the others (pun intended). There really isn't too much to the story, but the execution is decent and decently creepy at times. Loses focus here and there and could have benefited from exploring some obvious angles more deeply. All in all I was very disappointed by nearly all of the episodes. It always manages to create a nice and interesting setting for stuff to happen in, but then decides to focus on other things too much before ending with a fizzle. I don't know if the books just suck (haven't read them) or if the screen adaptation sucks, but man, I feel this could have been a lot better, also considering the stellar cast they managed to grab.

These stories are incomplete nonsense. It reminds me of lost. Great ideas but then no explanation or ending. Such a waste that they chose the wrong author.
