Great time with this movie So to better by good time

Absolutely sublime! I have never seen Benedict Cumberbatch (besides in the Graham Norton show ;-) ) but he is addictive to watch. The rest of the cast is good too and the story is pure tragedy. I could cry because I only have 1,5 episodes left. It is now in my top 10 amongst Breaking Bad a.o. All that is left is read the novels I guess :-(

Such brilliant acting. Especially in episode 1, Benedict Cumberbatch is playing a drug addict so genially, one is at awe at his acting talent. Stunning casting overall. I appreciate the educative side of the series, the peak into a family where a child is abused by a paedophile father, the psychological profiles of the perpetrator and his victims. It uncovers tragic happenings that are normally hidden from the eyes of other people. Watching this series made me research more on the subject and on how to spot and help victims. The direction, photography, design, costumes - piece of art!

Patrick Melrose is the first tv show I have bothered to review. An amazing tour de force. I was not surprised at the accolades accorded Benedict Cumeratcdh but I was surprised at the lack of discussion around Hugo Weavings stunning performance as the father. He has to be one of the character actors of our time. Unlike some character actors he is never the same. Playing this awful character is conveyed in all his behaviours. Amazing show all round.
