I can't remember the last time I saw a series this good. It is brilliantly made. Amazing acting. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time. Cumberbatch gives an outstanding performance.

Wow. Just wow. Benedict Cumberbatch is a genius actor. Hugo Weaving is an acting god. The story is involving, dramatic, unpredictable and gripping. The production value is great, everything from colour grade to editing is as tight as Borat likes certain things to be. Watch it now, thank me later.

He is the lead motif for me to see the first episode. I do not know the books. so, Patrick Melrose remains, in my case, more an incarnation of ordinary gay and his fight to escape to the answers to society. and, as schyzoid, I admit , Patrick Melrose is more than a seductive/familiar character. and the impecable performance of Cumberbatch is the axis of splendid project . that is all.

Such brilliant acting. Especially in episode 1, Benedict Cumberbatch is playing a drug addict so genially, one is at awe at his acting talent. Stunning casting overall. I appreciate the educative side of the series, the peak into a family where a child is abused by a paedophile father, the psychological profiles of the perpetrator and his victims. It uncovers tragic happenings that are normally hidden from the eyes of other people. Watching this series made me research more on the subject and on how to spot and help victims. The direction, photography, design, costumes - piece of art!
